Amendaooooola again.
D sucks.
Brady as usual.

One of the most insane game winning drives yet, and there's been alot. Not quite as improbably as the 2013 Saints game with AUstin Collie and Kembrell Thompkins but 3rd and 12 + 3rd and 18 in a 2 minute drill is simply incredible against any defense, let alone Houston.

Cooks either scored or played a major part in setting up our 4 real TD drives of the game. 5th was set up by the INT... or was Cooks the reason HOgan was so wide open on that one too?? (my feed was awful, missed some plays here and there)

Tom Brady - nuff said. Continues to prove em wrong.

Defense had another poor outing, but a huge stop at the end. It's still early, not terribly worried here I think Bill will iron things out.

BOB definitely wasted a challenge/timeout, and even if he won it it would have just given our punter more room. Confusing decision and a big break for us. They'd have had 13 seconds + a timeout at the end to pick up 15-20 or so yards for a reasonable FG attempt had he not challenged that - quite manageable considering how our D was playing today.

We have our issues as stated above but this team is scrappy and resilient as ****. It's the only way you can complete a 25 point 2nd quarter deficit and win a game like today's when you're down 2 and the other team has 3rd and 1 in your red zone at the end and seemingly moving the ball at will the last few drives. That said, a win is a win - 2-1 and we're onto Carolina

I didn't get to see much of the game until the end. How did Butler play?

Looked like he had his fire back, that's a plus. Most Hou passing was the result of him dancing around 3-4 pass rushers and throwing bombs. Hard to judge CBs there. Actually, I think he hit TE and RB downfield more.

Still disappointed with defense.Texans got 20points together previously and today they got 33

The bizarre thing is that the secondary has the ability to be great but they've been atrocious. I expect the linebackers to blow but my God. Something needs to be shaken up. We shouldn't have won. Only Tom Brady could have saved our bacon like that because he's goddamn super human.

Bingo. This is why we're all so surprised. We all knew our linebackers behind Hightower were JAGs at best. We all knew attrition had destroyed our pass rush before September. But did we really expect 4 of our best defensive backs from 2016 (Butler, McCourty, Harmon, Chung) to be this inconsistent? I sure as **** didn't. They're playing so far below their potential it's ridiculous.

The board was in rare form today.

I remember the days when the GDT used to be a great game day companion...

as much as I DETEST this damnable strategy, I am beginning to sense that BB will be employing the B don't B defensive principles throughout this early going. I just hope that by game 8 or 10, we begin to see more pressure. It really IS hard to judge where this is all going because of the ridiculous preseason sham where ZERO was accomplished.

What a nail biter. That was some drive in the end, one of Brady's best thanks to Cook. Our defense line still has to get there at together and I am not sure our offense line will improve. Brady was kicked around today. He must be sore. The Gronk took a beating as well. We may have met the best defense that we will see this season.
Take the win and run. Watson played well.

Want to give props to Gronk. One missed catch apart, he was out-of-this-world (catching, running AND blocking).

For the rest, it's all been said ...
I'm stil amazed at the mauling he takes with no flags while laundry flies when other TEs are just waved at. I'd love to compile side by side videos showing flag/no flag comparisons.

Put another 4th quarter comeback win on Brady's resume.

Lot of bad football in the NFL to go all around. Jets, Bills, Bears, Jags take certain defeat to victory. All this before the ball was even snapped on Sunday. Nothing is for certain and its only week 3 so there is plenty of time to get better.

Was very impressed with Houston's defense in the 2nd half. It seemed every time TFB extended his arm to make a pass, there was a Texan there to chop it out. They are very good and this oline needs to improve to a higher level for just these types of defenses come playoff time.

Watson came very close to becoming the first rookie to beat a Pats defense in the BB era. Color me impressed, he did well and whether or not you think this defense sucks, he deserves a ton of credit for extended the plays and creating the open receivers. Fantastic throw to their te on the one play that very few other rookies/seasoned vets could of made. Oh yeah, he's. slippery too. Looked to see if I could go back and find one hold on their oline that I could blame that first down on after 5 misses and it was clean blocking. Just a combination of a chicken with young legs with a ton of elusiveness and poor tackling by Pats.

Unlike some I'm not too worried by the secondary. Lot of dislike for McCourty in the game day thread, go figure. Imo, all can be corrected, the talent is enormous and you can't fix that if its broken.

Dline played pretty well, thought they handled the run decently. LB's are probably weak link on the team right now. It would be nice to have Hightower back in the lineup for next week.

Brady is a rockstar and they close out week 3 with a win. Cooks should be off the radar because I think this is what most imagined when they traded for him. League should consider itself lucky they aren't dealing with Edelman, Hogan, Cooks and Gronk.

Ot. Great catch by Amendola to set up the game winner to Cooks. No easy catch by any means.

Way for Hollister to hold onto to that one ball while getting destroyed. From what little I've seen, it seems like he may have a future if he keeps working at it.

Thought Obrien and coaches outcoached BB and coaches in 2nd half. Its so rare to see because it hardly ever happens. But when it does you take notice. However, Brady is the goat so it didn't matter in the end.

Good win. They will get better as the weeks go on. Hopefully to championship caliber by December.
