Pats try out 3 QB's? What's up with that?

What is going on here? Zo and Beadle talking about this today and said noted Brady's throws "fluttering" a little and wondered about his shoulder or something wrong? Kind of strange situation here

Patriots reportedly work out four quarterbacks, including Matt Barkley

Keep telling people Brady didn't look good last night. Nice to know I'm not the only one. Just quite interesting they bring 4 QBs in the day after TB goes for 44 percent. BB sees everything and he might not have liked what he Saw.

Who knows.

Probably more of the "Due Diligence" work, so they have a better grasp of the abilities of folks on their player rolodex.

Two words: contingency planning.

Unrelated: I have to say, every time I've logged on since the KC game...

What a freaking revelation: Brady didn't look good last night. Hey, how'd the defense do? Oh yeah, the Brady narrative is just easier to use to blame the loss on.

He had a subpar opener, and still lead the offense to 27 points, which should win you most of your games in the league.

Or hes looking to trade Jimmy G to strengthen the current team.
Or would Belichick do it to get a rise out of Brady.
Would he waste there and their agents time to strengthen the fire under Brady's but?
They always bring guys in for emergency lists at all positions. I would sign someone like Connor Shaw to the PS but short of that they need to be ready just in case with only 2 QB.

Wouldn't suprise me. Or it's Jimmy G on the block. I don't know. It is curious nonetheless.

Probably should been more too. Gronk holds on that's 7 more or if they kick it on 4th it's 3 more and then who knows could have been a different outcome.

Actually Gronk did hold onto it. Hand was underneath it at all times and he wasn't clutching it as he rolled over. So it was a TD that they overturned.

What TB has to do is diagnose coverages and if allowable, look Cooks first then Gronk etc. If Cooks is slowing down at all to catch a pass, it needs to go further.

How is this even complicated? The Pats routinely bring in players at lots of positions. They want to know what's out there. If an available player gets picked up by another team, and ends up in a game, the Pats will have not only a film evaluation but an in person evaluation of that player. It's part of their overall scouting everyone they can approach. And in terms of QBs, if Brady goes down, and Jimmy goes in the game they'll immediately need a back up. By scouting now they'll either have one on their practice squad or will know who they want to go after.

"Flutter" - that wasn't the first word to come to mind after the 60 yard strike to Cooks. Brady's problems last night - middling gameplan, mediocre adjustments, no Edelman so no short game, bad blocking late, receivers and backs he's not yet comfortable with, rust. Too early to see "decline." Let's see how it plays out.

BB's doing it to get a rise out of this forum.

What I heard multiple times it wasn't the deep passes it was the sideline passes which were not quite up to Brady level accuracy or spiral.

BB getting ready to trade Brady.....:p:p:p:p

On a serious note, I think BB is doing his due diligence.

Wow. "Fluttering" that's new.
