Bob Kraft's HOF Legacy

You do wonder what's enough, though? Building a stadium in a league where handouts are the norm? Fielding the most successful teams ever?

What? He didn't destroy the league, depose the commissioner and give him a verbal beat down on TV like big time wrestling?

What a jerk.

Y'all can scrape your pennies together and find the asking price for a team if you think you can do better!
Bob has done his part, no question -- while also skating on the coattails of BB and Brady. Mostly, he has learned to prudently stay out of the way. His disingenuousness toward fans regarding Goodell (cameragate/framegate) is nauseating, unforgivable, and the TRUEST indicator of who/what he is. On the flip side, he did keep the Patriots in New England, helped with labor negotiations and helped land lucrative TV deals for the league.

The good, neutral and bad arguably cancel themselves out with Bob, the good getting a slight edge. I don't really see how he's Hall of Fame worthy, but that will be up to others outside of New England to determine.

He merely "helped" with negotiations??????

And there is only ONE reason why Belichick left the Jets for New England and turned his nose up at Oakland.

It wasn't the chowder.

The owner EARNED Belichick's decision. BB's no dummy.

It's you and I, the fans, who have skated on BB's coattails.

Bob Kraft did some things that were not pleasing to some of the Patsfans.. but I am forever indebted to having him engineer our great facility and allow great football minds to make the football decisions and the 5 SB Wins..

I firmly believe that no matter what he did or could have done would have changed the decision on #12, that whole effort was an intent by Goodell and his *********** buddies to unseat Bill Belichick, and when they found BB had no involvement the train was out of the station and they had to nail someone..

It is difficult to criticize Kraft when he brings a bunch of NFL Hall of Famers to Israel so they can better understand that part of our wold, he has done that for others as well..

Kraft is definitely HOF material..

Wow, this has no sense of proportion whatsoever. Preventing the death of the franchise itself is canceled out because... he didn't whine enough about a commissioner making decisions that Kraft couldn't do anything about anyway?

LOL OK buddy.

If you watch the full video, Kraft is actually taking a $20 out of that woman's hand.
That is a still picture. Please link to this video.

Not that I don't believe you but that would be awful PR, especially since he is Jewish. I sincerely doubt that happened, although I do not doubt the video exist, I wonder how good the fake was. Or sarcasm is flying over my head. (That would not be the first time. )

BB is a grinder.

I love Bob for saving the Pats. I love him for bring BB here and giving him complete control.

I still can't stand him continuing to suck up to Goodell despite everything that happened.

I was actually just kidding

Some people feel this way. I don't get it. Kraft had zero chance of winning any litigation against the league.

He has been quite clear that is formerly friendly relationship with Roger the Clown is no more.

Team without Kraft... 33 years 1 Superbowl appearances.

Team with Kraft... 24 years 8 Superbowl appearances and 5 wins.

It is not like it is all Kraft and a lot of luck is involved but it is pretty clear he did a good job. Too bad he had to tarnish such a beautiful legacy.

All Kraft did was step out of the way. In between those wins, he negotiated a **** CBA, did nothing about Article 46, and continued to back, publicly I might add, the worst commissioner in the history of American professional sports. I wouldn't have any doubts that he's also behind Goodell's new deal, either. This is on top of publicly backing the good of the 32 over his own quarterback and capitulating during Spygate while letting the league and media run wild with their own narratives.

So yes, he's done some great things for the team. He's also done his fair share of sleazeball things to the team's detriment. That some can't separate one from the other makes them sheep. They're the guys that get a tingle in their balls and cheer during the opener when Kraft dishes out some meaningless tough talk in which he doesn't even metion the ginger by name one week before kickoff so he doesn't get booed by the entire home crowd.

Well the Pats could have an owner like Jeremy Jacobs: ( Money hungry, didn't spend to put the team over the top in the early 90's).

Henry: Let's a ****y, know it all ( Larry) run his empire while he focuses on counting the beans.

C's owners: No complaints.

This guy is a hofer. No if, and, but's about it. 5 titles. 8 AFCCG wins, division titles, privately funded stadium. He sent a ring to Brady's mom. Cares about his players.

What sort of CBA did you expect him to negotiate? Who in their right mind from the management side wouldn't want article 46? Kraft has certainly done anything but back the commissioner since deflategate. Do you have a modicum of evidence that Kraft supports a new deal for RG? How did he back the 32 over his own QB? How did he capitulate on spygate? How was he supposed to control either the league or the media in any of this?

I think you're confusing sheep with simply having some common sense.

Are you deliberately trying to waste my time here?

He gave you a reasoned argument. Your reply shows yours has nothing to stand upon.

Some people just don't like the guy because of his annoying voice, crooked teeth etc.

But the whining from people 50 miles removed from the situation is undercut by every smooch Brady (you know, the guy who was actually directly affected by Deflategate?) plants on his forehead.

Brady built a home next door to Kraft because RAK wouldn't let him, Gisele and the kids move into his basement, for crying out loud. He loves the guy. What kind of manufactured anger have a portion of the fans sculpted in their minds?

Did Kraft capitulate wrongly in Deflategate - - yep, and I'm angry at him for THAT. And for Spygate. And for some political snugliness with someone out of personal loyalty. Am I going to rip my eyes out about those three things and disregard the 100+ other things he has done great? That's just ridiculous.

Meanwhile, the real culprits of Deflategate are laughing their asses off while you misdirect your anger.
