You guys don't get it ...

QB: Ernie Adams
RB: Ernie Adams
FB: Ernie Adams
WR: Ernie Adams
Slot: Ernie Adams
TE: Ernie Adams
OL: Ernie Adams, Ernie Adams, Ernie Adams, Ernie Adams, Ernie Adams

DL: Ernie Adams, Ernie Adams, Ernie Adams, Ernie Adams
LB: Ernie Adams, Ernie Adams, Ernie Adams
CB: Ernie Adams, Ernie Adams
S: Ernie Adams, Ernie Adams

K: Ernie Adams
P: Ernie Adams
LS: Ernie Adams

What this squad lack in athletics is more than made up for by the insane level of scouting and preparation.
How would that matter if all your players' bones are broken after the first play?

Alternate Universe Answer:

QB: Rich Gannon, Fran Tarkenton, Andrew Walter, Tim Tebow, Matt Flynn
WR: Torry Holt, Reggie Wayne, Gary Collins, Nate Washington, Andre Holmes, Michael Jenkins, Greg Lewis, Brandon Gibson, Anthony Gonzalez, Donald Jones
RB: Duane Thomas, Rocky Bleier, Tommy Mason, Joseph Addai, Donald Brown
FB/TE: Bear Pascoe
TE: Marcus Pollard, Alex Smith, Lee Smith, Jake Ballard
OL: LT Bob Vogel, T/G Dan LaRose, C/G Ted Larsen, G/T Robert Gallery, RT Corey Hilliard, g Ken Byers

DE: Will Smith, Fred Dryer, Jonathan Fanene, Jeremy Mincey
DT: Phil Olsen, Christian Peter, Terrance Knighton
LB: Lee Roy Jordan, Rip Hawkins, James Anderson, Victor Hobson, Justin Rogers
CB: Bernie McRae, Will Allen, Eric Warfield, EJ Biggers
S: John Lynch, Adrian Wilson, Tank Williams

K: Robbie Gould, Martin Gramatica
P: Gary Collins
KR: Bill Triplett

All of the above players were either once part of the Patriots' organization, at one time traded to the Patriots, or drafted by the Pats - but never appeared in any games (other than preseason) with the Patriots.

And yes, I know there are too many WR and QB, and not enough OL.

Wow, putting that together must have been a chore. Good work!

A lot of those signings were held with high enthusiasm, at least by some if not most:
- Why was Matt Flynn ever on the roster?
- Torry Holt or Reggie Wayne could've been so interesting if they were a decade younger, but that was the point
- Too many Colts
- Everyone was excited for Jake Ballard, who had already injured himself out of his last game in the league.
- All the Safeties listed were smiled upon, with the most rewarding probably being Lynch's fond memories of being coached by BB in one or two preseason games before retiring. Adrian Wilson, IIRC, was supposed to be a real contributor.

QB: Todd Marinavich, Babe Laughenberg
RB: Ricky Williams, Ricky Williams' Dealer, Ricky Williams' Therapist, Trent Richardson
FB: Pupunu
WR: FredEx, Lam Jones, Charles Rogers
TE: Johnny Mitchell, DITKA
OL: Mandarich, Gallery, Kyle Turley, Spud Webb, Jamarcus Rusell

DL: Klecko, Aundray Bruce, A-A-Ron Maybin, Johnathon Sullivan
LB: BOZ, Vernon Gholston, Butterbean
CB: Jason David, Cromartie
S: Ron Dayne, Marion Butts

P: Robert Aguayo
K: Flutie

Coach: Marinelli
GM: Millen.

Oops...forgot LS. I like to keep 3 on the team, just in case.

LS: Adam Seward, Ernie Adams, Garoppalo
