The lottery is tonight and of course the #1 pick is the preferred outcome.

If it were me ... take Fulz ... visions of him and Jaylen Brown for the next 6-8 years is way too tempting for me.

Go hard Greg Monroe or Nerlens Noel in the off season for center ... back that up with Zizic ...
moves Horford to PF and he shares that with Olynyk. Keep the current guard rotation in tack.

Can Zeller - Crowder - Amir Johnson - Gerald Green - Jerebko - Young
Absolutely do not give up draft picks under any other scenario.

That sounds good to me. Step #1: ACCOMPLISHED

I don't see anyway they don't go with Fultz. Ball would be a terrible pick.

Replace Johnson with Monroe
Draft Fultz

Thomas is fun to watch, but not paying max contract to him....move him for offensive minded player at another position......

G - Fultz, Bradley, Smart, Rozier
C/F - Brown,Horford,Munroe,Olynyk,Crowder(upgrade?)

captain stone is in the fetal position sucking his thumb he's so upset.
pick Fultz. sign Hayward.
Why in the world would I be upset that they finally have the #1 0verall draft pick?

Been watching and reading a lot:

- Fultz. Quiet hardworking person. Real close with his mom. Good student. Again a quiet guy. Put up huge stats, amazing stats. Excellent scorer. Defense isn't good yet. Team was real bad, 7-21 and Fultz didn't make them better. I get worried when I hear the comparisons to James Harden.
- Lonzo Ball. I hate his dad. But the more I see of this kid I like it. Elite BBall IQ and passing. Makes his teammates better. UCLA was 117th the year before him and with Lonzo became the #1 offense in the country. The kid is the next Jason Kidd but already has a 3pt shot, who cares if it looks funky. I think he's going to be a star.
- DeAaron Fox. Great 2way PG, possibly a more athletic Mike Conley.

Doubtful that it would happen, but I would love to see Ball & his dad not be drafted by the Fakers (& their allies at league HQ), just to see what kind of ****storm would follow.

RE Lonzo. Great, he can pass players open so they can brick their wide open shots. The Celtics needs a SCORER far more than they need a passer. As for Ball's three point shot, it looks funky because he's releasing it practically at chest level. We'll see how far he gets with that at the next level.

Fox is beyond raw. Not to mention so light he'd blow away in a strong breeze. He's years away from contributing.

Fultz is in Boston today to meet with the Cs, will work out for them tomorrow.

question...why in every scenario i read does it have Avery Bradley being traded? I see various draft day trades that include our #1 pick and Avery Bradley for player X. He is our best defender and his offense has improved every year in the league, especially this year.

is he an untouchable? I say yes but interested in hearing from you. In what reasonable scenario would you give up Bradley?

Well, #1, I don't think there's a chance they trade 1. The only trade that would make that worthwhile would be for a top 5 player, and that won't happen. Bradley is mentioned a lot because they'll have a log jam at guard and be trying to preserve cap room for a max free agent offer, and he's someone who could possibly bring back a decent return. Bradley and Smart will both be coming up on new contracts at the same time. He'll be expensive to resign. He (Bradley) is a good contract and he's a skilled player. That said, I've seen just as many scenarios that have Smart being the one that's moved.

i think bradly only has 1 year left on his contract. and he gets injuried a lot. those would be the reasons he would be traded imo. hopefully hes stays put.

Never realized until this morning that Fultz is an East Coast Kid, and played for DeMatha..

Thought early on that the Celtics might trade their #1 for other players, but more I read about Fultz the more I am convinced he is their guy.. in 7 days we will know.

Their future picks might provide a better opportunity for trades,
  • 2018 Nets 1st
  • 2018 Celtics 1st
  • 2019 Celtics 1st
  • 2019 Memphis 1st
  • 2019 Clippers 1st
  • 2019 Pistons 2nd
  • 2020 Celtics 1st
  • 2020 Heat 2nd
  • 2020 Celtics 2nd

I'd much rather see Smart or especially Rozier traded than Bradley.

If Fultz is the guy at #1, then I wonder where Danny goes at #37. They still need rebounding help and wing shooting, so I can see either of the two UNC players, C/PF Tony Bradley or SF Justin Jackson, being the pick, if either is still available.

Wow, 2019 is looking pretty damned juicy. At least two of those teams are liable to be the suck by then.

Rozier doesn't provide the cap relief that AB would. They need it if they're going to sign a major FA. As for rebounding, remember they have Zizic and possibly Yabasule coming over and both could provide more rebounding help than just about anybody on the current roster.

**** is happening with the #1 pick...stay tuned

Danny better be very, Very, VERY careful that he doesn't feck up, again.
