PFT acknowledges that frenzied Pats rumour mill may be driven by resentment

One of the reasons I like PFT is that by and large when they screw up, Florio puts his hand in the air and acknowledges. He's not doing that about the Moss/Seymour situation, but he does admit that the speculation may be something other than well-informed.

Posters on here know more than Florio anyways. The only time he's right is when it's a bad thing about a team that isn't the Patriots and when it's a good thing about the Patriots. Forget the fact that his sources are far more numerous and well-informed than anyone on this board anyways.

100% correct, and I can't wait to read about which team Moss is going to play for now that he's been cut by the Patriots.

They're right alot more often than most rumor sites. For those hardcore hockey fans out there, I'm sure you're aware of who Eklund is and how laughable his "rumors" (that he just makes up and then charges people for) are.

I've always said you have to take that site with a grain of salt. It's an interesting read because they do have some info before the mainstream sports sites since they don't have to publish the sources for their info.

I do find it a little amusing that when they have stuff about the Colts it must be true, but when it's about the Patriots, the site is garbage and making stuff up.

If Florio were really manly (rather than just someone who likes to swear a lot in print) he would come out and say "and we've been printing these reports although they came from people who clearly have a vested interest in seeing the Pats fail" or else "but our sources include people with inside knowledge of the organization".

He doesn't need to name his sources but it is highly likely that they were outside the organization, because, if he had inside ones, Florio would be the first to let us all know.

You see a rumor mill is what PFT is. Pulling something out our ass with no legitimate confirmation the rumor exists is basically what you are doing and accusing them of.

It is funny that people are basically libeling PFT by accusing them of just making up rumors that have no source when that is exactly what they are doing about PFT. No one has a single thread of proof that Florio made up a single rumor, but they are portraying it as facts. And they are made at Florio because they are convinced he did the same thing with the Moss and Seymour rumor. I don't get it.
