Josh Gordon is a once talented idiot...might be a good thing because I don't think he'll ever be that player we saw many moons ago now. I don't mind the NFL making an example out of him that should teach some of those Guys in his mold.

feel for the kid.

You got guys commiting domestic abuse getting slaps on the wrist. but the kid has ONE drink the day after the browns season ends, and because of a technicality he hasn't been allowed to play in like two years.

Bunch of ********.

Jeeeez whose wife did he sleep with? The black balling here is out of control.

He should've been driving at high speed, evading the police, with a child in the car while high....

More accurately, he should have been a JEST or Giant.

Those trade proposals of including Gordon in a trade for Garoppolo on this board seems pretty foolish now.

nfl did everything to keep rice story hidden. do this.

absolute bastards.

Good grief.

Gotta wonder what Gordon is doing in these meetings with Goody to get rejected. Pulling out his member and pissing in a plant?

Yeah, as much as I share in the hate for Goodell and the testing protocol of the CBA, I'm having a hard time buying into this "all he did was have one drink" theory, unless he happens to have the worst possible luck in the world.

I know a guy right now who's on parole (fist fight), works two jobs, has a few drinks after work around 8-9 PM, and blows into the breathalyzer at the halfway house every night with no problem. Even blood and urine tests aren't detecting alcohol after a reasonable period of time. I know because I used to drink at night and give them in the AM myself, until straightening up and getting on the right track.

It's much more likely that Gordon has failed multiple tests for both marijuana and alcohol, as well as failing to follow directives set forth in his re-instatemrnt plan. I didn't even realize this was being questioned until this thread. I hate the process and I do agree that it is unfair, but a good portion of the blame goes to Josh Gordon.

The question here is how is this going to help this young man?

He can reapply in the fall "not sure when in the fall".

It wasn't a permanent ban, so hopefully the kid was given a little hope & keeps clean.

He should be given another chance, he is a choir boy compared to some of the Bengals.
