Malcolm Butler back at team workouts....

To be fair, I haven't heard a lot of media members claiming he WOULD hold out, just that they would if they were him.

Not just the media. Butler took a ton of flak on this board despite, AFAIK, doing nothing whatsoever wrong.

Yep. This forum was a downright embarrassment in the heat of all that. If the team lets him go next year, we'll see it again.

The smartest thing for Butler is to play and have another Pro Bowl quality season and either get franchised or get paid this offseason. Holding out could backfire on him.

The Butler thread got hijacked by the smug contrarians and got so bad it made me long for North Korea to push the red button and put us all out of our misery.

Which thread? So I can partake.

Would like to see a extension or Richard Sherman brought in one or the other is fine with me.

Judging from the last launch test, there's a strong chance that if they pushed that button, they'd blow themselves up.

Oh, welcome back Malcolm:D

Sure, that would help the team a lot in 2018.

For 2017, it is not clear whether Sherman is more valuable to the team than a hungry Butler.

It is not at all clear that Sherman would be better in the slot than Butler.

This secondary should be spectacular. A little pass rush and we should see a lot of int's since we'll be playing with a lot of leads.

Welcome home Malcolm, we love you ! Your 3rd shiny ring awaits....

I don't recall any media members predicting a holdout.

On paper I just don't know how you score on this team.

In reality, stuff always happens.

If I were to guess I would say the only teams I can think of on the schedule that might have the weapons to score on them would be Atlanta, Pittsburgh and maybe Oakland.

But then the question becomes do those teams have enough defense to stop the Pats offense? Nope.

Completely agree about the slot
