Aaron Hernandez Dead

My father was an abusive cop. He beat my mother and hated his kids. He left when I was 4.

Pay attention here: I was much better off without him. This is not debatable. It didn't leave some unfillable hole in my life, it mitigated the damage he could do. I merely used my own experience to learn how to be a good father to my kids.

So, as Kon keeps pointing out, stop projecting your own individual experience as some sort of rule.

Side note: dude's getting way up there in years, and he's apparently trying to get back on good terms with my sister (and eventually me, I'd imagine). Believe me, that **** ain't happening.
i didn't project anything as some kind of rule. but that's exactly what you are doing. its complicated. every situation is different. so yes its debatable. your dad didnt die. he beat the **** out of you. you know what he is. you are comparing apples and oranges.

"no she won't. not even close. growing up without a father is something you never get over. its a hole in the soul that gets bigger with age. i know. i grew up without a father. mine was killed when i was a year old. he was killed in a construction accident. the older you get. the more you realize what you missed."

Yes, you did. This was the first, and then you argued some more.

PS What I said wasn't debatable was my own experience, which directly contradicted what you were saying. Read better.

Injury update: Aaron Hernandez (neck) upgraded to out indefinitely.
Do people honestly think this is funny? I've seen this everywhere, and not once did I even find it mildly amusing. Quickly becoming the new "He went in a tight end and came out a wide receiver," HARDEEEEEEHAARRRRRHAARRRRHARRRR

Grow up.

So he killed Lloyd for a charge he was deemed not guilty. Some are theorizing the reality of this hit him hard ... in jail for life for stupidity. fwiw...

You must think Amy Schumer is funny.

how was what i said some kind of rule? you aren't making any sense. was your father killed? did he die at a year old? no so you don't know what you are talking about. just like i don't know what's its like to have my father beat on me. you learn how to read.

Really tragic all around. From having it all to throwing it all away.

Thoughts are with AH's family and of course, the families of his victims.

Yeah, Aaron Hernandez sure is an unknown quantity.

Anyway, Kon said that she's better off without him. You said that's not possible, that all kids need to know their parents or they'll be consumed by the black hole of sadness. You're making up a rule based upon your singular experience.

Aaron Hernandez’s Ex-Patriots Teammate ‘Not Buying’ Former Tight End’s Suicide

I understand the shock when somebody you know dies, but c'mon. Considering the circumstances it shouldn't be all the surprising, once you get past the initial jolt of the news. Then again I don't know the context of what this player allegedly said, and the reporter may be simply subtly attempting to get some clicks.

There is also this from Dan Gronkowski:

Former Patriots TE Dan Gronkowski to me on his thoughts of Aaron Hernandez, his teammate in 2011, given the news of Hernandez’s sudden death in a prison cell Wednesday morning: “When I was on the team with (Aaron Hernandez) it was Rob (Gronkowski), myself and (him). We all got along and had a good time. We didn’t have any issues with Aaron ever. So I mean, that was all just a side thing that no one knew what was going on. We didn’t even know that that was even happening. It wasn’t even like we thought something like that was going on. So, it’s just sad to hear that, knowing that you (knew) somebody that has gone through that stuff and chose that route.”

D. Gronkowski added:

“It’s just unfortunate that this whole thing has come about."

Then there is this; it looks like AH's lawyers may possibly be positioning themselves for a lawsuit (and payday, of course). Considering what was reported that would have to be one major conspiracy.

Aaron Hernandez’s Agent Believes ‘Absolutely No Chance’ Ex-Patriot Would Commit Suicide

“Baez believes this could be murder either by inmates or the folks who run the prison.”

************.

If that is some type of political jab at me, you couldn't be more wrong.
No political jab. I just think your sense of humor is lame and equated that to the "comedy" of Amy Schumer.

Aaron Hernandez's suicide leaves legal loose ends

No matter how those matters are resolved, Hernandez's life remains almost impossible to understand, and it came to an end on the same day the Patriots, including some former teammates of Hernandez, are at the White House celebrating another Super Bowl victory. How such a talented player could live a double life as a murderer has never made sense and probably never will.

What an absurd, unnecessary tragedy all around. IMO this includes AH's own life...even his own life is that rare tragedy that elicits no sympathy. Life gave him incredible gifts, but he seemingly corrupted or tainted everything he touched.

If he took his own life, on top of everything else he's a true coward. He made catastrophic decisions, but when it came to dealing with the actual, deserved consequences of those decisions, he simply opted out. The families he destroyed (including his own) will live out their entire lives with the consequences of his actions, and he will not. Where is the justice in that?

Even in death, this guy's a selfish f*ck. The day that the Pats visit the WH and it's his mug that's plastered all over the airwaves.

The man was a blight.
