While I can appreciate this sentiment the clear plan was for him to make every effort to get out on the Lloyd conviction, and while I think that was very doubtful the idea of him being a free man again was far more troubling than his suicide is to me. The families of the victims have been through enough, now maybe they actually can get some peace.
I have had a not too dissimilar experience to this in the past. Outside of hearing the news of the persons demise and giving it the very small "karma *****" thought it didn't give me a seconds comfort. Loved ones are still gone.

Holy ****, was not expecting this.. but person with a completely f...ed up mind and a wacked out value system is unpredictable.

Only emotion is surprise.. will be interesting to see how this plays out and if the Mass. DOC was aware of his mental state, or if it was a long time plan..
I disagree with the idea of him being placed in general population so soon after the trial, but I'm certainly not siding with the serial killer. I just think that precautions should be taken to try to avoid situations like this. Perhaps a period of a month or so while the inmate gets used to their sentence/situation, despite the verdict? Probably unreleastic, though.

Honorable thing to do, thanks for saving us taxpayer dollars

I don't think honor had anything to do with it, it's more likely his lawyers informed him his not guilty verdict wasn't going to make much difference in the Lloyd case and he realized he was still going to stay in prison for life.

What a tragic life. So troubled, So talented. Coulda woulda shoulda, but he murdered others and now himself.

What's to dislike long distance? Just curious

Thanks for asking, One-Be-Lo.

Human being has immense capacity of understanding and compassion. Yet most of the time he's using very little of it.

He was a living being and a fellow human.

Not sure this board/thread is the best place for this thoughts so Ill keep them short.

The story of Aaron Hernandez should be a cautionary tale for every athlete hanging around with gang members. That's what could happen to you, get out of there.

That being said, guy was a scumbag, but he still had a family. I feel for them and most importantly for all the people he wronged in his life.

It was so much fun to watch him play.... Only if he could have some kind of role models during his childhood.

I have a feeling that bringing his daughter to court last week probably wasn't the best idea. He was visibly shook, and continued to turn around many times to try and see her. I have no idea, but it may have been a harsh reminder of the reality he was facing, and could have stirred up some deep emotions. We'll likely get more info in the coming days/weeks.

I hope they don't make a Movie out of this I wouldn't force myself to watch it. AH is the Biggest blunder in sports ever.

Not a good person, but an excellent football player. In terms of talent, there is no question that a late pick made sense. By all accounts, he was football smart & very versatile.

The sadness I feel is not in the loss of the life of a bad person, but rather in the wasted potential of a fabulous, talented player. On the field, I preferred him over Gronk. Obviously, off the field, there is no comparison.

The story is sad.

Because you kill your self when you just beat a double murder rap

Not a chance in hell I believe this

Tragic story all around. Shocking in every way. The murders, the conviction and then the suicide. What a waste of a life that could have turned out great.

Also, to add, even though he plead innocent in the case that put him away for life, obviously he was guilty, an innocent man doesn't kill himself in prison, he fights for freedom.

Wow, surreal ****.

Talk about overshadowing the White House visit today....
