Outside of hearing the news of the persons demise and giving it the very small "karma *****" thought it didn't give me a seconds comfort. Loved ones are still gone. While I can appreciate this sentiment the clear plan was for him to make every effort to get out on the Lloyd conviction, and while I think that was very doubtful the idea of him being a free man again was far more troubling than his suicide is to me. The families of the victims have been through enough, now maybe they actually can get some peace.
I disagree with the idea of him being placed in general population so soon after the trial, but I'm certainly not siding with the serial killer. I just think that precautions should be taken to try to avoid situations like this. Perhaps a period of a month or so while the inmate gets used to their sentence/situation, despite the verdict? Probably unreleastic, though.Holy ****, was not expecting this.. but person with a completely f...ed up mind and a wacked out value system is unpredictable.
Only emotion is surprise.. will be interesting to see how this plays out and if the Mass. DOC was aware of his mental state, or if it was a long time plan..
Honorable thing to do, thanks for saving us taxpayer dollars
What's to dislike long distance? Just curious
I have a feeling that bringing his daughter to court last week probably wasn't the best idea. He was visibly shook, and continued to turn around many times to try and see her. I have no idea, but it may have been a harsh reminder of the reality he was facing, and could have stirred up some deep emotions. We'll likely get more info in the coming days/weeks.I don't think honor had anything to do with it, it's more likely his lawyers informed him his not guilty verdict wasn't going to make much difference in the Lloyd case and he realized he was still going to stay in prison for life.
Wow. AH's story is a tragedy in every way.
Also wouldn't surprise me if this was not a "suicide"...
