All of a sudden the Easley failure doesn't look as egregious...

So proud to be the first to say ....

SIGN THE BEAST!!!!

That felt so good. Momma gonna be real proud..

No but seriously .. No.

From what I've read the dude had a serious motivation issue which makes him coming here and doing anything of note highly unlikely.

But there's nothing like turning an AFC East's cut player into a solid contributor to solve my middle age ED.

I would at least kick the tires....let BB do his magic....

BB doesn't do the kind of magic this kid needs to perform (Juice!)

Steroids - Strike 1
On July 3, 2014, Jordan was suspended for the first 4 games of the 2014 season for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substance policy.

Steroids - Strike 2
On September 19, 2014, Jordan again violated the drug policy and was given an additional 2 games to add for the suspension.

Steroids - Strike 3
On April 28, 2015, Jordan was suspended for the entire 2015 season for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substance policy for a third time.

Nov 2016 - Finally reinstated from drug rehabilitation in Nov 2016 but Dolphins kept him on the non-football injury list after watching him practice for three weeks in November and determining he couldn’t help the team.

March 2017 - Failed physical. No juice = no go for Dion.

Hasn't played a down in NFL in 3 years.

Still worth *****ing about on the radio that the Jets or someone stole Jordan while Bill sat on his hands.

Explain to me again why people covet 1st round picks

Check out the top half of 2013 draft:

1. Eric Fisher - hasn't lived up to #1 overall.
2. Luke Joekel - bust
3. Dion Jordan - bust
4. Lane Johnson - suspended for PEDs twice
5. Ziggy Ansah - Good player
6. Barkevious Mingo - bust
7. Jonathan Cooper - bust
8. Tavon Austin - bust
9. Dee Milliner - bust
10. Chance Warmack - very average player
11. DJ Fluker - bust
12. DJ Hayden - bust
13. Sheldon Richardson - good player but a huge head case
14. Star Lotulelei - really good player
15. Kenny Vaccaro - average to slightly above average player
16. EJ Manuel - lol...bust

Yeah, people acted like the Logan Ryan and Duron Harmon picks wetr the end of the world, but in retrospect there's probably only 20 guys or so in that draft who I'd take before him today. Let's see.

Johnson, Ansah, Lotuleiei, Reid, Richardson, Long, Eifert, Trufant, Hopkins, Frederick, Rhodes, Short, Bell, Collins, Kelce, Mathieu, Allen, Reed, Bakhtiari

That's it. The Patriots had 3 guys who would be picked in the top 20 or at worst 25 selections if the 2013 draft happened today. Without a first round pick, and with whiffing on one of their seconds.

To be fair, that draft was historically bad.

Dion Jordan is our new Vernon Gholston?

Or can we keep em both?

Isn't this the guy who all the "experts" were claiming was going to be a "Gronk killer" and would shut him down in coverage?

Another great hot take brought to you by most likely ESPN.

Check out the top half of 2013 draft:

An anomaly just like the 2004 draft was uncommonly good.

But since we are making fun of the 2013 draft.

2nd Round (#52 Overall) – Jamie Collins, OLB, Southern Miss
2nd Round (#59 Overall) – Aaron Dobson, WR, Marshall
3rd Round (#83 Overall) – Logan Ryan, CB, Rutgers
3rd Round (#91 Overall) – Duron Harmon, SS, Rutgers
4th Round (#102 Overall) – Josh Boyce, WR, TCU
7th Round (#226 Overall) – Michael Buchanan, DE/OLB, Illinois
7th Round (#235 Overall) – Steve Beauharnais, LB, Rutgers

Picks traded away:
1st Round – (Vikings – 2013 Picks)
4th Round – (Bucs – Aqib Talib)
5th Round – (Redskins – Albert Haynesworth)
6th Round – (Bengals – Chad Ochocinco)
7th Round – (Bucs, through Vikings – LeGarrette Blount)

This looks pretty good given how weak that draft was. Yes there's some big misses but you probably don't win SBs with out Ryan, Harmon and Blount and Collins was a main member of one of them. Talib was worth the 4th for his term of service.

I was going to make fun of the Dolphins because their entire 2013 draft class is no longer with the team, then I realized that only Harmon remains from the Pat's class.

Plus you add in one great trade (Talib) with two awful ones (Hanesworth, Ochocinco), it was pretty bad.

Ryan Allen was an UDFA that year, so at least you have that.

Even though it ended on a down note Collins was a good pick round 2. And Ryan turned into a solid #2 cb. To me it was a solid draft in a down year for prospects.

The PAtriots draft always need to be viewed in the context of how deep the roster is. IOW making the team isn't as easy as playing for other teams.
