Its not a full account of NE drafting by any means .. but while people are more busy counting busts . below article offers a good look at great drafting success of BB&co . especially taking in consideration that they had by far the lowest basic draft capital (being by far the most successful team in the period).
Of course Brady makes for big part of it but that doesn't negate the success with many other picks as well and gives a good context of it within the league. Apart from making top success with lowest basic draft capital it is also interesting note that Pats created for themselves the 2nd most draft picks - confirming once more the importance of quantity not just the quality of draft picks people mostly covet..
.. just to show there is no GOAT roster building era without good/great drafting..
