Starting this thread because I've found something quite interesting which I want to get posted before I forget. It's Sparq testing for a number of prospects from before their freshman year ( I think) and it tells you their forty time, short shuttle and vertical jumps. It will be a useful reference source to assess athleticism pre-combine.

So for example, if I'd had this before the most recent combine, I could have told you that Teez Tabor and Quincy Wilson would have run 4.6 forties. Tabor ran a 4.64 back in 2013 and Wilson ran a 4.6. Dalvin Cook jumped a 30.9 VJ in 2013 and 30.5 at the combine. Oh yeah, and remember the shock when Fournette had a terrible VJ at 28.5"? Well he had a 29.9" in 2013. So as you can see, it's fairly predictive.

So it will be useful for you in evaluating 2018 prospects. There are a number of them from different years. Here's the 2013, 2014 Results.

Just two interesting ones that jumped out to me. In 2014, Texas linebacker Malik Jefferson ran a 4.39 forty and Alabama CB Minkah Fitzpatrick had a 3.81 short shuttle

Anyway, it's well worth a browse when you start scouting for next year. Just bear in mind that not every one is on there.

I was literally coming into this thread to mention how much I love Malik Jefferson, and of course @manxman2601 has already beat me to the punch. I should just retire now. :p

The best player in next year's draft, if he declares would be qb Rosen of ucla.

After Hasson Reddick you've more than earned your draft forum spurs.

PS. That is not meant to sound patronising. It was a great find on your part.

Edit: Credit where credit is due, whilst @reamer has been the guy to really push Reddick and deserves mucho plaudits for really recognising the talent and pushing him, it would be wrong not to acknowledge that @I.M. Fletcher was the first to mention him. Don't want to leave anyone out.

Vita vea.

After this years draft, that may be the only name you hear me speak about.

The love is buried deep within. Although, I am expecting him to be top 10 next year, so it will likely be a significant let down.

I am bracing myself already.

Not Darnold? He seems to be the consensus guy right now.

Both have had their fans. Rosen was the big bame before the season, but darnold finished the season so strong, Rosen got overshadowed.

Will be a great competition to follow all year.

Rosen is the best college qb I have seen since luck. Unbelievable arm, accuracy, and decision making. Plus he can run if need be. He got injured last season but should have a huge season in 2018.

Darnold seems to be a system guy.

Nick DeLuca is my coverage linebacker for next year. Remember the name.
