All quiet on Hightower front or Dont'a-do-it FA tour

The cap has gone up considerably kn the last few years. I think many of you are living in the world where the cap was much lower. Players will be making 10-20 million much more regularly now.

Why would he have all the reasons take money over championships? He seems to me to be a guy who values winning rather than dismissing the importance of it.

If the difference is short sure but lets say a 2 Million difference and the possibility to live in Florida and work only from September through December may be attractive for a guy who already won it all in College and NFL.

Does Hightower strike you as a guy who only wants to work September thru December?
Hightower is a winner. Winners don't stop prioritizing winning because they decide they have won enough so now they getvto enjoy losing and being lazy.

Is quiet good? I hope

Nevermind...Ed Werder tweeted Titans going after him..10-13 mill a year but out of their range...for now

Give him 13

So much for the theory by some that Hightower would get PAID if Titans are balking at 10-13m.

BB must have went to see him in Nashville as a last ditch effort..

Arizona was never a super bowl contender.

Never is a stretch. They were playoff contenders and you can get fluky once you're in the playoffs.

Cracks me the hell up to see the oh-so-macho knights of the keyboard here, many of whom haven't worked a physical job in ages (if at all) and the vast, vast majority of whom have never put their bodies through anything remotely like the physical hell and detrimental long-term effects that an NFL player goes through making smug, pompous pronouncements about how said players should value money, playing environment, etc. vs "winning" and casting aspersions on the character of players who don't rate "winning" as high as Mr. Internet Warrior does.

Just saw someone from Titans their writer says Titans are front runners to land DH...we will see

If someone said in February, would you be willing to pay Hightower $4m more than Stephon Gilmore, would you have said yes?

I think I would have.

But I didn't imagine that would mean $15m to $11m. I was thinking more like $13m to $9m.

While it is ironic that you make assumptions about people you are judging for judging why let it bother you?
Kind of a waste of energy to be upset about what someone you don't know says about the character of someone else you don't know.
Not busting your balls by the way. Just saying.

Or 18 to 14

I really hope that bill goes as high as 13 million dollars but he's the one that could make. I am not in love with our other LBs

If he built a huge house in Tennessee he is likely gone, how is the weather there throughout the year? There are reports he hates the weather in NE.

If he built a huge house in Tennessee he is likely gone

He was building the house when he was still with the Pats and all reports are that he was very open to returning to the Pats.

Given the money that's being thrown around, I think the Patriots wildly underestimated the market last summer. They could have wrapped these guys up for much less.

I'm shocked by $14m for Gilmore.

I find it hard to believe he would leave if we offered him 12 to 13 for the damn titans. We gotta resign this guy.

Let's sign this guy already. He's one of our big leaders on defense.
