like i said in another thread, the 1st rounder prob came w/ condition that cooks signs long term w/ that team

if he doesnt it drops to 3rd/4th round, no team will send a 1st rounder for a 1 yr rental (though maybe a 2 yr rental)

edit: thinking about it more...what if they want Jimmy for Cooks and some more? They are getting ready to move on from Brees after next season anyways so need new QB...
