Why wouldn't you want to give a first rounder for Cooks who was himself the 20th pick of the 2014 draft? The last two years he's averaged 1,155 yards and 81 catches. I'm not trying to be combative, I'm just wondering if I'm I missing something?

It's nothing to do with how good he is, it's just that it's not a position of heavy need, and he'll be getting paid soon after.

Jules has 1-2 more years of solid production and is a FA next year I think.

It's Hogan and MM after that.

They may not need him now but in 2018 they sure as hell will.
