Does BB hint he is open to trade Brady?

sometimes reading the boards in the off-season is very difficult

if BB does not trade Garopolo, then maybe he is hinting that he is willing to listen offers on Brady?
Brady may have 4 years left, but Garopolo may have 14 years left.

No. Brady isn't going anywhere.

I love Brady...I just know that every player in NFL history has fallen very fast, and I don't think Packers fans regret letting Favre walk in 2008. Where would they be now had they traded or let go of Rodgers to let Favre stay in for a few more years?.

Well to make it a fair comparison say they traded Rodgers away before the 2007 draft for a 1st and 2nd round draft pick in the 2007 draft.

In which case they might easily win the Super Bowl in 2007 and 2009. Not hard to imagine if say they pick up Darrell Revis, Patrick Willis, or Marshawn Lynch with their 1st.

So they might have one more Super Bowl win then in the reality where they let Favre go.

And to be fair Brady is better than Favre, and Rodgers is likely better than Garoppolo.

Hypothetically.. say they were entertaining offers for Brady. For several reasons I think they would find out the market for him isn't as big as we all might think it is. Wouldn't be worth any trade.

TB is the SB MVP and was pretty good last season. LOL
That being said keeping JG for under $1mil for 2017 and seeing how things play out is the smartest play. Any serious injury and no way TB rehabs he calls it quits. If he is still elite by the end of 2017 you can trade JG then after you franchise him. You may get less but so what at least you have an insurance policy for this yr and you can see how JB progresses and if TB regresses. Pats are smart.

The Patriots are actually carrying $27 million of unamortized bonus money at this point. If they traded him this offseason, not only would you be losing the GOAT still playing his best. You would also be losing $26 million of cap space.

I'm pretty sure Brady's not playing this season for $ 1 million, so his contract will have to be extended or changed this offseason. It will be interesting and telling to see how it's structured when it is.

Clearly, it's irrational for Brady to be playing anywhere but in New England this year. So, we should get that off the table. It's absurd even to suggest it.

He is scheduled to play for $1 (million) this year after receiving $29 cash last year. He's due $15 in cash for each of the next two years, of which $14 is guaranteed next year and $7 is guaranteed in 2019, if I'm reading Miguel correctly (Miguel's UNOFFICIAL Patriots Salary Cap Footnotes and Documentation Page - Tom Brady).

And, yes, you are right. It will be "interesting and telling" to follow how it plays out. Clearly Brady's last contract was structured to put a lot of cash in his pocket up front and minimize the impact of a suspension if the NFLPA lost its appeal, as we all know it did.

At this point I put it even odds that Brady's remaining career is longer than Jimmy G. Jimmy G is as likely to turn out to be a mediocre QB and lasts 5-6 years more as Brady is to play till 44. I think people are just being stupid even suggesting we're better off with Jimmy G, a relatively unknown quantity, rather than Brady, who had continuously surprised on duration and durability.

I think it's a very good bet that Brady's remaining career, FROM THIS POINT ON, is far more illustrious to Jimmy G's. Brady probably gets to and hopefully wins another superbowl, and Jimmy G might make some posts-seasons at best, like Luck or Rivers or Stafford etc. People seems to still not appreciate what we have with Brady. And at Brady's cap hit, this is a no-brainer. Jimmy G will take a bigger cap hit than Brady is now.

Bill won't keep Tom around so to avoid hurting the feelings of the forum. He will do what is best for the team. The day Bill thinks Brady replaced is the best thing, it will happen. He won't be riding the train to oblivion.

However, cap and form tells me that time isn't now.

Either Kraft is a complete hypocrite or Brady isn't going anywhere. BB has a boss too.

You guys are all forgetting one thing. Tom has talked to BB and BK about how long he wants to play. They all know when that is, he'll be here until that predetermined date.
