There is a complete difference between being upset and critical of the team (which is fine) and simply trolling everyone else who are suffering and staying with the team your joy about leaving the team behind for greener pastures. I sincerely hope @Ian bans these types of board vandals like the above poster.

Yeah he was absolutely disgraceful once again.

I said the game is over barring a miracle. Edelman did have that miraculous catch to make me restore the faith.

for me it was the 21-3 half time score that made me whisper "we have a chance...". circus catch by JE11, TB12, roger booed of the stage.. I'm still giddy !

just scanned the game thread from around page 118 (28-3) on - pretty entertaining from an emotional roller coaster perspective

Stayed out of the toxic GDT because I have decided negativity is not good for me.
I thought it was over at 21-0 but I see no point in bleating out my darkest thoughts despoiling others enjoyment.

I bet that everyone here KNEW that we'd won when "the accountant" got us the coin toss. NFW Brady wasn't gonna score.

thanks to the OP!
I've bookmarked the link to the Gameday thread.

A couple of my favorites (I'll leave the posters anonymous).

Put Jimmy G in. This team as constituted will not win another SB. Need a complete overhaul.

team didn't even show up today.

What a ****ing disgraceful showing

I didn't pick comments that were just mystified at how things were turning out, because that was a reasonable reaction.

Rather I picked comments that showed a complete lack of understanding of what was occurring on the field.

I'll let Duron Harmon speak for the Patriots perspective: “When you have the Michael Jordan of football, that is what you think,” Harmon said. “Think about it: Last two Super Bowls we’re in, down multiple scores late, and he gets the job done.”

I was sick after they went down 28--3, but I never thought it was over.

At one point in the 3rd quarter my wife said "it just doesn't seem to be their night"

I was quiet for a bit, then replied "There is still hope. Lots of things have to go right, but until there is no time on the clock, that guy (#12) may still somehow find a way"

If you think that the game day thread was bad, check out this gem, a since-locked "postgame" thread started at 7:56 PM lamenting the terrible end of our season, including people saying Brady looks old and Jimmy G should take over!

We're on to 2017 Post Game Thread

I reamed some people out over here

Congrats to the Falcons.. ON FINISHING SECOND!! - RealGM

look about halfway down the thread

I reamed no one, but put several on ignore. I may go back to that thread and ignore some more.

I have no patience with new posters who are negative in the game thread, they are either trolls or Chicken Littles not worth my time.

I am far more lenient with veteran posters but even put a long time poster on ignore last night.

I stay away from the game day thread because of how many defeatists we have, even when we are comfortably winning.

This will get many disagrees and dislikes, but for once that thread was legit and any criticism is just cliche. The team looked like dog sh*t for damn near three full quarters. I don't see how anyone can convince me that even half of the fan base thought the Pats would legitimately come back, especially after ATL went up 28-3. Only because I know few things in life are absolute, I'll concede that there were definitely fans out there who continued to believe, probably only because that's just how they think normally, but they are the minority. Every Pats fan at the bar was dejected. People stopped eating. They stopped standing. It was quiet. What happened last night will be celebrated for more than just being the fifth ring. That was the biggest comeback in NFL SB history! NE, other than sheer will and a QB like TB12, a player we'll never see again when he does finally walk away, had no business winning that game. C'mon. Let's not mar the most improbable SB win of all time to name calling, pointing fingers and going at each other. That makes us the fans of other teams that we despise and laugh at.

I will admit I said "game over" after the pick 6. But that was in the moment. I knew they had a chance to come back though long odds.. It was just frustration.

To me they looked unprepared, which is why it was so mystifying. The whole sequence of the missed extra point and then the botched onside kick was a particular low point. Even when they scored they just couldn't build on it. Very strange game for nearly 3 full quarters. It just goes to show you that you never know what really goes on behind the scenes, because I don't think they were nearly as rattled as anyone else in that position would have been.

At 28-3 I started feeling really dejected, but never felt it was over...I noticed on the GDT that the biggest reaction came when Tom threw the interception in the second qtr. Still, there were a lot of board members who stuck it out and didn't quit or give up on the Pats!!! It was again a great ride and an amazing game!!

Yep!!

Nobody in their right mind expected us to win when it was 28-3.

Being a Fan isn't about expecting to win every Game. That's just empty, false Bravado.

Being a Fan isn't about idiotically expecting to win the Super Bowl every Year.

True Fans stand by their Teams even when Defeat seems inevitable.

Beautifully put!!

I'll bet you're right!!

*And I'll also bet that none of the most toxic Trolls, none'f whom are in this Thread, amusingly enough, the ones who not only bailed on The Greatest FootBall Dynasty Ever at their Darkest Hour but doubled down on their Betrayal by actually talking **** about this venerable Team!! ~ knew any such thing!!

Perfect!! That's what I'm talking about!! Nobody expected us to win at 28-3...And I don't personally think less of anyone who thought that we didn't have a realistic Chance at that Point. I sure's Hell knew that we had a Chance, just based on understanding what this Team had proven itself capable of...But I'd hardly consider a guy disloyal for not believing that we had a Chance. It was a perfectly reasonable Point of View.

It's only those Parasites whose behavior make it crystal clear that they believe that they're entitled to a Championship every single Year, and who lash out with venomous bile whenever that outcome is in doubt...who warrant Scorn.
