What was the cap back then?

You can't build teams like that any more the early 90s cowgirls were the last of the mega teams.
I dont really disagree with him though 07 pats Deon vs Moss would of been great to watch.

I lived in the area at the time and rooted for the Cowboys. They won 2 of 3 and were done.

It didn't start until 1994, then it along with Jimmy's departure killed that dynasty. In a couple of years, the supporting players to The Triplets were gone to other teams, inspite of the best efforts of the newly HoF GM.

Never understood how if all those stacked teams were so stacked and the league had haves and have nots back then why didn't they win more games or score more points than modern teams?

I have a ton of respect for the Jimmy Johnson era Cowboys.

The 92 and 93 teams would have beaten the 01 team.

None of the Cowboys teams would have beaten the 03, 04 or 14 team.

When the 2007 team was at its peak (Nov/early Dec) it would have crushed any Dallas team.

Meaningless comparison for obvious reasons.

I think 03/04 gives any of those teams a run for their money.

The 90s cowboys were good but not amazingly good. Aikman is a good QB but not as good as Brady. Their weapons are good but top heavy. Irvin and Smith and TE Novacek. They didn't have great depth of offensive skill players though that OL is legit of course.

On defense Charles Haley is a good pass rusher but they didn't have that great pass rush presence. Their defense was helped a lot by their ball control offense. Not to call it not good but it wasn't a defense stacked by top end players. Sanders didn't get their till 95 the last year of their dynasty super bowl run. Their defense was very good don't get me wrong but they don't have that HOF game changer back there.

I think they are from a roster perspective the weakest dynasty there was.
