Falcons C Alex Mack dealing with sprained ankle

OL injuries can hurt even a good offense, much like it did for us last year.

I think it's being a tad overblown, but it's not a non-story either.
It seems like it's being overblown to me, but I obviously could be wrong. Gronk had a "bad back" in addition to the knee before going out and destroying KC (if memory serves) a few years ago. He very well could have been dealing with a bad back, considering that's what shelved him this season and in college. Or it could have been some gamesmanship. We're two days from the SB, yet all this information is still leaking about Mack? It seems unlikely. I'm sure BB is planning for Mack either way, but it's still weird to me. I don't remember hearing this much about Gronk a few days before the 2011 game. Those who remember better, did we?

Mack will play and he'll play like his ankle is not bothering him one bit.
I've heard that Atl's medical staff can do amazing stuff in this area :
We've certainly learned they do this regularly in ATL. With this and the crowd noise thing, I wonder what else we don't know about that team. Great to be mostly mediocre... your transgressions get swept under the rug, while the best team gets its reputation beat down on questionable accusations.

I don't think the Pats need to do anything out of the ordinary to test his injury. Branch is likely going to take him on a la Pouncey.

Regards,
Chris
Branch has been so f-ing AWESOME the whole season. No hyperbole, he has been the most consistent defensive player on the team from the start. What's even better is he's a three-down player. If he has his usual game, the D will be in good shape. I wonder what happens with him this off season.

Mack or no Mack, we're fine in the middle as long as Branch's toe and VV's back don't bother them.

I think hes gonna give them major problems.

I really think he will too. Even if they account for him, double teams or whatever, that should open up someone else to bring some pressure

Just read that Mack broke the same fibula back in 2014. Not sure if that means anything but thought I'd throw it up here.

FWIW: I feel bad for the guy and wish every team could play big games in full health but unfortunately injuries are a part of the game.

I read that too. The 2014 fracture was pretty severe so he may still have a pin/screw in there that became compromised?

Also High. He's definitely battling something, presumably a shoulder. He needs to be out there and capable. Hogan and Bennett are also listed as questionable, but we know they'll be out there.

This I did not know.

Marty's ankle is broken into smithereens and he's dancing with the cheerleaders. Suck it up.

Mack will play. If he plays good or bad remains to be seen.
Speculation is not reality. We shall see. BTW- GO PATS!!!!!!

If he is hurt that is big. He is arguably the best lineman they have. Apparently he makes their running game so effective. We all know how important oline play is in the Super Bowl
