How I think the Superbowl goes

It will be harder when you watch it. Not only will Atlanta hold the lead at some point for much of the game they will be in one score and even when the Pats are up 3 scores they will frustrate you by not putting it away and playing keep away too much (the smart thing probably) and when you see Atlanta start to claw back in late with 6 minutes left and make it a 10 point game watch your nerves spike. Even more when they have 3 minutes left down only 10 with Julio Jones who can win big jump balls.

Why do i think it will be a "comfortable win?" Cause so many super bowls have been close last minute affairs particularly with the Pats. We come to expect it. However the law of averages says we can't have 7 super bowls in a row that are 1 score wins or loses within the last 2 minutes. Either the Pats need to win one of these by 2 scores or lose 1 by 2 scores. I pick the Pats winning as that is the most likely scenario IMO.
I predict Atlanta never leads

Oh, believe me, I'm not worried about Atlanta fans. A little annoyed, but definitely not worried. If there is any fan base that knows a SB can go either way, that would be us. 18-1
only three teams have ever been 18-1...

Gost kicks a 50 yard FG with 4 seconds left...Pats win 38 - 35

you heard it here first

Pats are well overdue for a blowout Super bowl win. If this were Green Bay or even Dallas...I would fully expect a 60 minute battle. I just don't see it with the Falcons. A ****ty defensive team with an elite WR and a QB who has been prone to choking is not a Super Bowl winning team. Belichick will have a gameplan for that. Teams who beat the Pats need a dominant pass rush and a little luck. Atlanta isn't all of a sudden going to form a dominant pass rush on Sunday. New England will have to make a ton mental mistakes to keep them in the game and a realistic shot at losing this one.

Think about it guys. The last 3 years only one team has knocked off New England and that was in a Denver stadium they suck at, needed a shanked xp, a failed 2pt conv, and a dominant defensive performance to barley pull that off. I fail to see Atlanta winning this game unless the Pats truly beat themselves.

It's just like watching game live on TV.

I hope we build a good lead and defend it. I don't think I can sit through another close game.

A lot of similarities between the 2017 Falcon SB team and the 2002 Rams SB team.

Just like the Rams, these Falcons aren't used to being hit in the mouth at the beginning of a game. If you look at the last four games of the regular season Atlanta went up 21-0, 21-0, 20-3 on LA, SF and CAR. The only game that was a "game" was NO, where they were only up 14-10 at the half. Same thing in the playoffs, especially vs. GBP, where they were up 24-0 at the half.

Over the last three months they haven't been accustomed to playing from behind or even close. If the Pats can jump ahead by a couple of scores, I think the old collar will start to feel awfully tight on the ATL sideline.

I'm thinking along the lines of the Pats Colts in the 2014 AFCC

Falcons get pummeled

the last healthy halfway decent defense they played was the Chiefs

to put it into perspective, their top 8 tacklers are all smaller than Kam Chancellor

we are talking about a team that has been in a habit of playing way ahead, and whose most popular defense all year has been the dime package as a result of likely being way ahead on ****ty teams

the pats will wear them out quickly

I foresee the Pats taking the ball to open the game, mounting a prolonged march to score a TD, and then shutting down the vaunted Falcons offense. Wash, rinse, repeat. For sixty minutes. Not expecting them to pitch a shutout, but maintaining a comfortable two to three score lead for most of the game does not seem impossible to me.

Hate too say it but ATL wins and Goodell will breath a sigh of relief. I doubt we'll win another one again as long as he is commissioner. Sorry about the negativity, just sharing my thoughts.

First, Bob, wouldn't it be cool if the game was exactly as you outlined, down to the letter? I'm all for it.

Second, the butterflies are part of it for us fans... I keep thinking, OMG, this game is not yet played. We are in EVERY GAME, evah. Except those 1 or 2 where we aren't... then I think, OMG, the Denver-Seattle game could happen to us... but if there has ever been a team that that is unlikely to happen to, it's the BB Patriots in general and this year's Patriots specifically.

Now, here's my script for the game...

Okay never mind, back later...
