Rex Ryan was paranoid the Pats would pay a Buffalo janitor to steal their game plans

I guess this guys are setting up their perfect excuses "I was so worried about the cheating stuff I couldn't concentrate on game plan and strategy", says Tomlin, Ryan, Harbaugh, Pagano, etc

Jedi mind tricks do work!

I don't know if Rex is a fan of the Brady Bunch but it was clearly laid out on that show how to handle someone when you think they're after your playbook. If Greg and Bobby could foil Jerry Rogers' plan, I'm sure Rex could figure out how to handle a janitor.

F these guys who come out with random comments to add to the narrative that the Patriots are serial cheaters.

Either our team is truly a cutthroat cheating, stealing, deceiving bunch or the rest of these guys just don't know how to justify their losses.
I am putting my bet on the latter.

Meh...the Pats live rent free in their heads.

I said it before the Pittsburgh game. If they think the Pats are powerful and crafty enough to be thinking of and executing all these little ways to "cheat", then what they're admitting is defeat. If they think there are Pats spies everywhere, they are accepting an inevitability. And when they prep these excuses, they are walking onto the field with the expectation of losing.

And then, usually...they lose.

In some ways, the cheating crap actually helps the Pats. It's a major psychological advantage going into a game if they're going to buy into all that.

Rex Ryan needs to use his new job at BSPN and categorically deny this story by this hack Jason Cole.
Unless he really did shred his playbooks and gameplans, in which case he needs to appear on screen for 30 straight minutes so we can all laugh at him. The story here is either a) Jason Cole is a useless douchebag or b) Rex Ryan is an even bigger loser than we already knew.

Im guessing the Janitor had a better game plan and shredded it out of enbrarassment.

Reminds me of the Dilbert comic strip where the garbage man finds a copy of Dilbert's code in the trash, that Dilbert accidentally threw away. The garbage man gave it back to Dilbert after he had re-written Dilbert's 24,000 lines of code down to 12, and resolved several bugs.

Rex Ryan became a head coach in 2009. "spygate" was unleashed upon the Patriots in 2007, with the punishment coming in time for the 08 draft.

So, what Rex is saying is that he thinks Belichick is dumb enough to bribe an unknown quantity like a janitor, who could easily turn and talk to the NFL / media and set off a new, even bigger, cheating scandal that would have probably resulted in Belichick being banned from the game for a season or more, plus multiple picks lost, etc.

This is such a dumb concept to lend any thought to, but I think it's a pretty clear demonstration of why one guy is a now a talking ****face on BSPN and the other is coaching in his (rounding) millionth Superbowl this week.

The jokes write themselves, but with the scrutiny on the Pats and BB, why would anyone think BB would do something that would be so easy be caught and penalized for?

And yet, they keep getting their ass kicked over and over again after taking all of these precautions...maybe they should look in the mirror instead of looking for the boogieman as the reason they lose.
