Mingo never plays on defense so that seems unlikely. Too bad, we could use his speed and athleticism in the short middle in this game but something must be missing.

Look at his weight/body, he just can't hold up on the field playing regular defense. I hope we can get him extended "on the cheap" and then maybe build that up over the offseason. He could be amazing with a little bit more mass and if BB finds the right nische for him.

The thing that people here kinda ignore with their coverage predictions is that a lot also depends on how many WR Atlanta puts out there on each snap.

I think depending on which of the Atlanta WR are on the field I think we will have a mix of everything on Julio Jones: Ryan/DMac, Rowe/DMac and sometimes maybe even Butler in single coverage.

That being said, I doubt that Jones (CB4) will be on the field much outside ST unless someone (Rowe ?) starts to stink it up like Arrington against the Seahawks (or someone gets injured).

I agree for the most part. Ryan will likely be on Sanu most of the game in 2 WR sets and vs. him in the slot in 3 WR sets. I'd rather not have Rowe on Julio on any circumstance and he's a bad matchup on Gabriel. Ryan's stayed in the slot the 2nd half of the season & excelled so I don't expect him to move.

Rowe doesn't have a natural matchup in this game IMO.

I lived in Ft.Myers for awhile and I remember one of the 7-11's handing out free hot chocolate when it was about 55 degrees and raining, once. Still cracks me up thinking about it.

If Rowe only has the underneath coverage and trails Jones with DMac over the top it wouldn't be that bad. He has the size to breakup some of those 50/50 passes that Ryan likes to throw to "where only Julio" can get it.

Just keep in mind that Brady was seen with a walking boot after the SD game in the 2007 AFCCG, and then only hours after being spotted with the boot, he was wearing normal shoes and wasn't limping.
