Special Teams

I've read/heard adnauseum of the Falcon offence and a little of their young n suspect defense. But I haven't heard or read anything regarding Special Teams. Anyone with "factual information" want to opine?

Kickoff return : Atl 21.0, NE 18.7
Punt return : Atl 11.4, NE 6.9

Defending them :

Kickoff return : Atl 22.6, NE 19.3
Punt return : Atl 9.6, NE 5.0

So Atlanta returns both better, NE defends both better.

That said, we haven't utilized Edelman on PR too much until the playoffs so there's a possible spark there that doesn't show up in the numbers.

BTW, NE is second best defending punts, Atl 5th best returning them so that could be a quiet big deal.

I was looking at the DVOA's and it's pretty much a push.

When if we do, Allen has been a monster all year at pinning teams from almost every range past their own 40. He was otherworldly in the regular season meeting with HOU. Jones is like a younger, faster version of the GREAT Slater and Slater is still his dominant self. I think we'll be okay. If memory serves, the first BUF meeting and BAL were the only two games where ST's was a glaring issue, but I'm sure Cyrus Jones will be inactive for the SB.
