Excellent thread (if you can get past the (occasional) "cheaterz!" complaints).

For example:
I will NEVER understand how going 4-0 is better than going 4-2. I mean the guy is less great because he made the big game two MORE times than Montana or Bradshaw! Also in the 2 losses he had gotten the lead for the team with around 2 minutes to go. I don't know what else a QB can do in those spots... he can't play D!

Also Kelly >>>>>>>> McNair and he lost 4 straight SB! The crazy notion that losing a SB makes you less of a great player is just astronomically dumb in my opinion.

IMO I hate comparing different eras against each other as rules, and leagues change. Brady IMO (biased as it is) is the greatest QB in the modern era followed by P. Manning. I think P Manning is LIGHTYEARS Better than his little Bro even though he is 2-1 and Eli is 2-0.

Brady's Legacy - The Stadium Wall

(It's weird -- I find that Bills fans (at least on their forums) are overall the most sane non-NE NFL fans about the Patriots. Maybe it's because NE has completely crushed the life out of them so that they've moved past the jealousy phase onto just resignation.)

"Bend the knee" -- I love it. Great Game of Thrones reference.

Many of the guys on that thread are simply intelligent football fans - they've been around long enough to recognize greatness.

Polar opposite to the mouth breathers occupying the couple of Falcons forums that actually exist - they all sound like over excited 12 year olds watching their first season of football.

In my experience, the "lifer" fans, regardless of team, admire and respect the Patriots and for the most part disregard the "cheating" garbage, even if they openly dislike /hate them.

They understand the greatness of the Patriots within the context of the history of the NFL, and most are in awe.

The "haters" mostly comprise of the lowest common denominator (thinking more about how many beers they're drinking than the game). They provide little to no insight about the game or even their insane opinions about the Patriots, but rather resort to childish insults/homophobia and regurgitating lies/bs/exaggerations. Unfortunately I would estimate this group to be roughly 60-65%

It's sad really, because they're too dim to understand what the lifers accept, and these tactics are really their only option at this point.

Make no mistake, the Patriots strike fear into the very souls of millions of football fans across the world. What we're seeing is their response to that.

He's one of the few left from that era and he started his right around the time I started my first one that year. He's always done a good job with that site, and good to see it still rolling along

Yeah, seems like a level headed forum with solid posters.

I'm not just saying that because they're mostly being complimentary of Brady. I took a look around. Decent group there.

I have seen many references to Peyton being 2-1

He is 2-2. He lost to the hawks and the saints. How is this forgotten so much

I have seen the same. And I thought I heard sports casters saying it on some show.

This argument that Montana's 4-0 is better than Brady's 4-2 is ridiculous. In addition to winning 4 SB's, Brady also won 6 Conference Championships. Montana only won 4. Simple as that. Sill, Montana was a great QB. But Brady's the GOAT.

I like this sarcastic post from the Bills Forum thread:
Yeah but he can never catch Montana as far as his Super Bowl legacy. Even if he goes 7-2, he can never catch Montana's 4-0. You see, part of the beauty of Montana's career was losing three conference championship games to help preserve his perfect 4-0 Super Bowl record.

I remember when they first came online ,too...back in the Stone Age.At the time there was only one Bills board of any note, at the Democrat and Chronicle out of Rochester. They had a dozen or so regulars who were positively insane with hatred for the Pats and the Fish. I remember one guy who used his real name, Ed Arsenault or something...he was in a constant rage about Belichick and how he had no respect for the Bills four super bowl appearances. He made repeated printed death threats to many of the members of the old Unofficial Patriots.com board. You remember that board, Ian?....there was a link to YOUR original Patsfans website there, along with Zip's site and HawaiianPatsfan's board. When the lawyers for Patriots.com decided to shut the Unofficial board down, we all migrated to YOUR site. They made a HUGE mistake as any person of normal intelligence can see. THIS is the preeminent Patriots fan web site, not Patriots.com. Ironic ,eh?

Trust me, they are not. Not anywhere close. They absolutely hate Brady and the Patriots.

Our site looks amazing, aesthetic and updated frequently. You have done such a nice job. I have been on other teams' sites; they look like they are from the 90s.

We are lucky to have you!

It's not only the Bills. This is from the Pittsburgh Gazette chat transcript with their Steelers reporter:
Gerry Dulac's Steelers chat transcript: 1.25.17

bad coaching: Will the Steelers ever have a defensive scheme capable of stopping tom brady? - intercepting tom brady? - touching a pass by tom brady? etc. etc. ...

Gerry Dulac: Uh....hmmmm.....well.....let’s see......No!!

Intelligent football fans who understand the game are less skeptical of our success..but the ones who need to stir controversy in the "like and follower" world are probably more popular..

My experience when I travel and wear Pats Gear, the people who usually talk about our team tend to be fairly "football intelligent"....

I don't know. I mean, it took them over a decade to finally figure this out, and I'm supposed to be impressed?

Like geezus, what the **** took so long?

Well, to be fair, he made it three times and had his lifeless corpse dragged to a fourth.
That's funny that you say that. This music video reminds me of Peyton's role in the last Super Bowl. They find his lifeless corpse and prop him up on the field while his teammates do all the work and then they dump is body in the woods after
