I looked for a thread on this. Please merge if there is one. Turns out a drunk Pats fan is accused of pulling the fire alarm in the Steelers' hotel. Now it's a "gate."

Patriots fan charged with pulling alarm at Steelers' hotel

Members of other teams are crying how this happened to the JEST, and Denver... and.... and... and it never happens anywhere else.... and... and....

"The wall just got 10 feet higher," as our president would say. Brady's not leaving until #6 now.

Didn't this happen to the Pats in Denver last year or in the 2013 AFCCG?

I distinctly recall reports of the same prank pulled on the Patriots at the Super Bowl a while back -- not sure which one, I think it was 2011.

I dunno my Pats memories are full of (a) Super Bowls and (b) teams that kept the Lombardi Trophy from finding its way home to Foxborough. No room for excuses. Just teams that must be destroyed.

Happened twice prior to SB49. Didn't seem to affect the Pats too much...unless we were supposed to blow them out.

Yep. I believe it was twice in three nights

But but on Twitter it said it only happened to teams that go TO New England...

If any gate, it should be #Excusegate.

That was a terribly unprofessional coaching job by cheerleading Tomlin. Steelers fans should be demanding their money back after watching that ******* spend half the week focusing on lame excuses instead of preparing for the game.

If you had a good enough season to get the #1 seed and home field advantage then you wouldn't have to worry about these things.

It is not a "-gate". This story is getting no traction. Even on PFT where most of this stuff starts to grow legs no one really cares about it. And even Steelers Fans dont seem to be phased by it.

Exactly. To the victor go the spoils. Win more games than anyone else in the conference and then it won't be an issue.

Okay I invite any mod to merge them.

- edit: unless it's different that they've identified the perp to be a drunk NE fan, and that sports media (and players) are pretending it's part of a terrible Patriots continuum.

Up to the mods

Going up against Brady relying on that Pittsburgh zone is coaching malpractice.
And the definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again. Brady's last seven games vs Pitt... 22 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. You tell me.
