Anybody hear the comment from Nantz whatever his name is. At the end of the game he said the Patriots are a team way under the salary cap as if that should disqualify them from winning. What difference does ot make?
That's uninformed, old school groupthink for ya

I understand many people being nervous last night with everything happening that everyone said had to happen for Texans to win, but man I don't get some of the stuff I read in game day thread.....Brady sucks, this team is pathetic, only the comments were worse than that. I had to get out of thread after awhile.
I was nervous too, but would never make comments like that about this team after all they've given me as a fan.
I used to do the game threads, but I found myself acting out every negative thought I have as well in there LOL. It is a continuous schizophrenic atmosphere in a game thread. One moment a user posts "Disgusting!" then the same user when the Pats return a TD is like NICE!!

I had fun with the game thread last night. For every negative panic stricken comment I gave it a Dislike or a Disagree.

I rarely ever give those out

it actually is true, that is by design to have room under the cap.

What he said was "way under the cap." The Pats are only a few million under the cap, as are many teams.
He wasn't talking about smart cap management. He was positioning the Pats as unique in this regard, as if they don't pay their players like the other teams.

Yea its actually funny if your behind in the thread so you know what's going to happen, talk about a roller coaster of emotions from some fans. I'm thinking oh their going to feel silly for that comment. lol oh yea there was lots of ,guarantees, i read that since i was behind i already knew didn't come true. lol

BB should give Rowe a pass on this. Terrible ref reasoning there. Rowe was trying to make sure Butler wasn't going to be injured by the Texan who was spearing him in the pile. If anyone on the Patriots is to blame for that is Butler for clearly continuing to scuffle the ball carrier unnecessarily after the play ended.

The bottomline is still a 15yd penalty and reversal of a 3rd down stop. I understand his intentions but it doesn't change that in a tight game a 15yd penalty could have been a lot more significant (think Bengals vs. Steelers last year).

Other than him coming off an injury - why is this a joke?

Should he knock out Josh and just take over playcalling to make sure he is on the field more ?

I mean he just came back from an ankle injury so of course they will slowly introduce him back. There are still 2 games and 3 weeks left in this season.

I think we should be happy that BOB and Crennel showed us a few things they did not show us in the regular season game. Andrews was exposed one-on-one, when Hogan went out they took away Edelman, Amendola can be single covered, Floyd was not a factor, Bennet did not get separation. Maybe Mitchell would have been able to help? Our D was great - 3 turnovers and still held them to 16 points - have to be happy. Our D still looked like it was a bit disorganized a couple of times but not as bad as the mistakes against Miami. Overall the O-line learned a few things, the D looks like it is still improving and a lot of our receiving threats struggle to get open even covered one-on-one. Great lesson for the offense - great lesson on our weaknesses.

...the AFC Championship game!!!!!!....
AFC Championship Game? I think you have that event confused with the "New England Patriots Conference Invitational Game".

6 in a row means it has to be renamed!

I keep hearing "18 points, 18 points". To be honest, with how non competitive the Texans' offense was, we should have beaten them by 35. It was a one score game late in the 3rd, and IIRC, they got the ball with a chance to tie. Maybe we will be better next week, but unlike the Ravens in 2014, we never found a way to consistently move the ball last night.

If you spot opposing teams 2 turnovers close to your own endzone they will score points even if that team is the Texans, Jaguars or the Bills. The gap between the two teams was so much larger than what the scoreboard says. But then again I didn't doubt the win for a second while others think that it was a close/tense game.

I would have been stunned if they had lost, even when we were up only 24-16 - their offense was that bad. But if we have another offensive performance like that, we are going out, and the players know it.

Tom, do you like KO ret
Funny how that ref watched the Texans player come running in after the whistle but Rowe trying to clear the guy out is the one that gets flagged.

Think it's the same ref that somehow "missed" the helmet to helmet hit on Lewis.

I'm really, really hoping we don't see that crew again. It was basically open game on letting Texan players nail Patriots players after the whistle.

And what the hell is up with Simms celebrating the blindside hit Cushing put on Bennett? That's embarrassing given the era of football we're supposed to be in right now.

I admire the confidence but it was a close tense game for a bit when we turned the ball over and couldn't get an offensive drive going to save our lives. If not for the grace of our Defense they had a very real chance of pulling ahead. Thankfully they didnt.

There's nothing I hate more than bad football, or bad mistakes, like the ones we had. The Texans scored all 16 of their points off our mistakes. Thankfully we had our 12th man. **** Assweiler! That dude just sucks! Horrible!

Now Imagine if the Texans had a competent QB...o_O:eek:
