On the steelers first two TDs, Miami's defense didn't even try to make a tackle on either play. Reminded me of a pick-up game where everyone steps aside to allow the one girl who is playing to score to make her happy.

A quote from my best buddy a long time steelers fan

"Miami stinks if that play that way vs KC they wont make it to new england."

Thats the hot takes you have to write about if you want any clicks. BSPN just being BSPN.

The Pats are on to Houston. They don't really care about the Steelers until they have to play them, if they have to play them. Which is basically CPF's point.

Andy Reid coached teams after bye week are very good. I know it's the playoffs and it's the Chiefs but they are playing at home and are a much more balanced team. KC is my pick for this game.

Le'Veon Bell and the Steelers put rest of AFC on notice

So they put up 30 points at home to Miami, and suddenly I'm supposed to start caring about the Steelers?

It's Miami! You know who else put up 30 points on Miami? We did, twice!

But we don't ****ing pound our chest and brag about it. Because we know it's a **** accomplishment. Oh wow, you scored 30 points against Miami. I'm sure Irsay would have had a banner made for the occasion, but it still doesn't mean it's a big deal.

You know who else scored 30 against Miami? The Tennessee Titans. The Baltimore Ravens. The Buffalo Bills. None of those teams even made the playoffs. ****, even the Cleveland Browns put up 24 before losing in OT.

And I'm supposed to be impressed that they lit up a bad team? YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO!

Beat KC in KC and we'll talk. Until then, quit picking on little kids and then flexing like you're the neighbourhood tough guy...

The reality is the Steelers don't matter yet. The Pats are going to beat Houston, no question. Pats are in the AFCCG. Let's see if the Steelers get there. If they do it will certainly be interesting. I think we should win that game, but imo I would rather face the Chiefs.

The thing that struck me on BOTH those TDs was not that Brown was good but that the D was so bad that any receiver with any speed could have easily brought both those to the house. Literally as I watched them, I was not thinking "wow the Steelers are good" I was like WTF!? is wrong with that defense, as the plays were happening I was thinking that.

I love bulletin board material like this, always reminds me of Rodney.
Besides, the Patriots quarterback is in his mid 40's, they got rid of their best two defensive players, their big back couldn't make the team in Pittsburg, etc.

Patriots don't stand a chance against Rapeburger.
All season in 2003 I couldn't get this song out of my mind.

I think it makes sense to prefer the team that has the lesser QB, which in this case is KC.

I'm not sure how well KC matches up here. They're having a helluva time stopping the run and Bell is red hot. They could be ripe for an upset. I think the Pats match up much better with the Steelers than the Chiefs do. Either way, I'm hoping for the most violent game of the year in Arrowhead this weekend.

Agreed. I think Checkdown Alex can't exploit the tasty matchups that Brady will.

Assuming the obvious of course.

This is true, and this is one of the factors I was weighing when trying to decide who to pick, but Pittsburgh's offense just isn't the same on the road. They've struggled quite a bit, and playing at Arrowhead, which is a place that's notoriously difficult to play in for any opponent, won't help matters. Plus, despite the 30-12 victory yesterday, Pittsburgh didn't look that impressive.

Big Ben may not be 100% either.

Steelers are the biggest Jeckyll and Hyde team in the NFL, a hallmark of Roethlisberger and Tomlin.

Miami blew its wad trying to beat the patriots the week before, they had nothing left for the squeelers.

Ben Roethlisberger - The First QB in NFL history to throw a TD from a Gurney.

But what a tough SOB. He's so tough and it comes from his family really, I read once his family is so tough, but he's the toughest of course, that his mother, who was on a losing streak and was getting annoyed with those pesky contractions, got up from the poker table, went into the parlor reach up and pulled his ass out...breached. Chewed through the umbilical cord and threw him at his father and said wash that blood off him while I go to the bathroom and freshen up.

True story...I mean what a tough family....really tough folks.

Ya I mean Pats are getting **** on by the media as "haven't been tested" yet there won't be a peep about this Steelers stretch.

Yep they beat the Giants which I guess is a solid win but then we just saw what Rodgers did to that team with less talent, so was a 24-14 win at home that impressive?

Miami and Baltimore, Pats blew both those teams out.

Buffalo and Cincinnati Pats with Brady blew both those teams out. Yet Steelers beat the Bengals by only 4 and the Bills by only 7.

People don't care, they like their narratives. It was the same stupidity with the "red hot" Miami team that was 9 out of 10. But then when you take a closer look you realize they barely squeaked by the bottomfeeders, had to let Rivers throw 4 INTs to win in SD, got aided by torrential rain against the Cardinals and so on...

It's not what I would call impressive..

Here's the thing about the Steelers. The Pats have had trouble in winning in Denver and we agonized over it. We had some issues in recent years in Miami and we became very concerned. That's who we are. Well, I ask you how many times have the Steelers come into Foxboro and a won a football game? Once, or twice...maybe., How many times have the Steelers beaten the Pats in a playoff game, ever?

Sure the Steelers have a good team, it's the final 8 and they ALL are good teams, with good players, who have bigger individual names that the guys on our team outside of Brady. But I wonder where at the stories coming out of Pittsburgh asking about, "can the Pittsburgh ever beat the Pats in NE", or "when are the Steelers ever going to beat the Pats in a playoff game" Where is the angst on THEIR side?
