Michael Floyd is a beast !

Still Hogan seems kind of slight.

Man, you've got tough standards for WRs!

That guy showed me and the world he wanted to keep his job and will fight for it. Guy played for his career today and seriously impressed me!
Not just that, did it in a HUGE meaningful game. Only been with the team 3 weeks and it seems his teammates like him, and is earning Brady's trust. Good year for first year guys in the Pat's offensive system, Hogan, Bennett, Mitchell and now Floyd. All seem to have learned the system pretty quickly and have gained Brady's trust. I'd be thrilled if the Pats and Floyd agree to a contract in the offseason. The penalty phase may make Floyd's decision to sign with us easier for him. Pats were the only team willing to give him a chance.

this guy reminds me of David Givens. Anyone seeing the he same?
Bigger and faster, but Givens was a stud in this offense, very tough and physical, so I do see some similarities.

I love Michael Floyd. He is the missing piece to our offense. Welcome to the family Michael. You couldn't have landed in a better place. The family has your back now Michael. It's all Up from here...give us all you have like you did today and the GOAT will put that ring on your finger.....
He was in a great place before. His problem is in his head. I would like him to acknowledge his problem and get help.

One of the most underrated things offensively in the playoffs is how important power is particularly in the passing game with physical WRs.

In the playoffs you face DBs that get physical. You need WRs who get physical too. A good WR who isn't physical in the playoffs is like Marvin Harrison and makes no impact.

Life can be and is funny. The old saying "Every cloud has a silver lining" apples here for the Pats. This pick up could ultimately be huge on the S/B run. And all because of .......well we know why.
Hope Floyd grabs the opportunity and I think the signs are all positive in that regard. His work ethic has been called into question in the past but as we know with BB, apply yourself and perform or else...goodbye.
You can't compare apples to oranges.

His "incident" and following release definitely lit a fire.

Good for us. Very good
I wonder if this will start a trend of a few top players, late in the season, stuck on teams not making the playoffs, intentionally doing something to get released from their team in the hopes of landing with the Pats. Come to think of it, Blount got out his Steelers' contract after the eleventh game of the 2014 season. The difference was that Pittsburgh did make it into the playoffs as a wildcard.

Reminds me of Browns fans calling Jimmy G small and slight. Then someone posted a picture of him with no shirt on. BUILT.

All NFL players are built (well, except TB12). See that toe-tapping up high catch Floyd made early on - made it easy and CB had no chance to contest it. Floyd's catch radius makes that possible. He makes that play easier than anyone Pats have. Now he won't get deep as well as Hogan, and we need that too. Our WRs complement each other well. Not sure any sit for the playoffs - if we go with only 2 TEs.

Yeah but a Dolphin player is 75% of a Patriot player, so I stand by my original number.

Your original number would make a Dolphin 67% of a Pats player, which sounds about right.

Really? I recall Givens being a little more muscular but the two players seem pretty comparable to my eye. Hopefully Floyd can match Givens production while he's here.

Sorry Lippet, but...
