Pats/Miami matters for the Pats a lot but it is only the 2nd most important game for us this week. Oak/Den will decide a lot more as far as seeding.

The Pats likely need to beat both KC/Pitt whether they are the #1 or #2 seed and both games will be at home.

Why Oakland/Denver matters more is if Denver beats Oakland no only do we get the first seed but KC gets the 2nd and KC/Pitt would need to play each other. This assumes of course KC wins against SD as well which they should.

This does not mean i don't want the Pats to play well and win but clearly Oak/Pitt is the game we as fans should have the most focus on in my opinion.

Oakland has a QB who can be goated into throwing a few picks pretty easily and they are a team that Denver can run on which plays to how they like to play their O.

I think if Denver plays hard they can and will win since it is at denver.

Okay, let me put my hat on and get to work.

we need denver to win, but as a lot of people observed last night, it looks like they have already given up.

I'm not convinced Denver will care. It could be a pretty big difference in draft position between 8 and 9 wins anyways. Sit Siemian because you have a good excuse with his injuries anyways and give Paxton some more play time to evaluate what you have.

It can happen, but I would definitely not say it's likely the Pats play both Chiefs and Steelers.

Raiders & their backup QB could very well lose in Denver next week, while the Chiefs try against the Chargers for the 2 seed & BYE. Setting up this scenario, where the Pats could play any team but the Steelers or Chiefs in the 1st playoff game:

I don't see Denver dogging it at home. Denver wins, KC gets the #2, and the Patriots get a nice rest and plenty of time to prepare.

There are rumblings paxton may start. Anyway it won't matter since the pats play at 1 PM and are playing to win.

doesnt matter, oakland wont make it to the title game.
No chance Pats have to play on the road any more, however the ONE seed still remains just as important to prevent us from having to play the Steelers in our first playoff game. If we have to play them it would be better in the AFCCG IMO.

There just isn't much reason for him not to start. They already have an excuse to not make Siemian look bad.

Gotta agree with OP. Whether we win or lose against Miami, if Oakland wins this game we are most likely going to be hosting both KC and Pitt. If Denver wins, one of the games will be a far easier matchup and we'll only have to face one of the tougher teams.

That said, We are the best team in the conference with a margin and should win both games even if it is the tougher draw.

That jump pass probably put paid to any idea of the Broncos helping the Chiefs. Idiots!

If Paxton Lynch is named the starter, which is what I'm hearing, you better believe he is not going to lie down. Paxton is playing for the starting job next season, we will get his best...

Denver's D quit on the season last night. It was obvious. I don't expect them to put much effort into stopping Oakland's run game. The Raiders will pound it down their throat. Also, as bad as Simien is, Lynch is worse. Oakland will win easily even without Carr.

Denver will lose next week...you should see these guys on the news, they are done, finished, gave up....

As others have mentioned Lynch is not the answer...he looked terrible earlier isn't the year and was a stretch for a #1 pick, Raiders defense will kill him.

Sounding like denver is gonna rollover to do their part in the Pats not getting HFA.

Denver's d quit on the season after the Pats game. Think that was pretty evident with the defense having a go at the offense in the locker room.
