if KC wins tomorrow, miami will probably rest all of their players. lol they'd have a bye week to get ready for houston.
thank you sir.Matt McGloin: Matt McGloin: Career Stats at NFL.com
He played last year desperately hoping to get LESS injured. What did we end up with? One starting lineman? There is no way to tell when one of our guys will get injured. Belichick played "not to get injured" last year against Miami and it bit us.
Won't know if it's meaningless until after the game. Oakland is the late game.I would play everyone as usual for at least the 1st half of the game. If the game is literally meaningless to us then I would sit Brady and Bennet and who ever else is banged up in the 2nd half. Let Jimmy G get some time to showcase his skills.
Frankly, I'd rather host Pitt. Miami plays us pretty tough. Brady generally has his way with the Pittsburgh D.Miami over Pitt in the wild card would be awesome. I would love to host the fish in Gillette in the divisional.
They're playing 10 dimensional chess?I don't understand why people think Denver would lay down to the Raiders? Unless I'm missing something, aren't they still very much in the hunt? Plus, its a division game and most teams don't usually lay down to division opponents as playing spoiler is fun.
Being physically healthy is great, but I'm not a fan of too much break in a players mental state of mind either. Byes and breaks in momentum always scare me. As illustrated in the Seahags game. Just keep playing balls to the wall. Rest starters when a game has reached a "guaranteed" win.You hate the idea of lying down, but strategically, I agree with you. I can't see how taking our foot off the gas next week, along with the first round bye, could do anything but help us heal and get well-rested for a run. And being conservative with your stars in nonessential games seems pretty smart these days; it especially drives the point home to see all the injuries today--two star QBs out with broken legs and that AWFUL Lockett injury in Seattle.
