Whatever 4th DT they add they need for short-yardage and goal line.

I suspect they'll add one to the playoff roster so if one goes down, they'll be able to run their 3 DT rotation ok.

Johnson was a smallish DT. Running Long, Flowers and Sheard in that NASCAR role has been fine.

The concern is having fatness there if Brown, Branch or VV go down during a game and the other team is running the football.

Branch, Brown, and Valentine is not thin if they are all healthy. Plus got Kilgo on PS if needed.

I must admit. I fail to see how #4-6 safety that doesnt play on D and is easily replaced on ST is more valuable to the team than #4 DT .. with 12 DBs still on the roster. Were troubles with thin DT position that we had this year twice already forgotten?
And is Richards in BBs mind really so much better backup for Chung than Ebner or King?

But I failed to see the use of extension to Frenny so thats that.

The Pats have an extra PS roster spot now with the Dolphins signing a LB from the Pats. I assume if Hamilton clears he gets that spot.

Considering those 3 are a combined 1,000 lbs there is nothing thin about them.

That sucks for him but I'm sure he'll be back. He's a popular guy in the locker room. Lot of guys posted about his birthday the other day on social media.

If i remember correctly DB woody hamilton was doing pretty good until he got hurt.

Nah. Cutting a habitually inactive and putting him on practice squad doesn't really have any effect on depth.

Completely missed the big picture. Danny stays on the roster!
Would be huge if he's fully ready to go in the playoffs.

They had to play with two healthy DTs on the roster after they released Johnson and then one after another Valentine and Hamilton got hurt. For 4-3 defense thats thin in my book ..

DEN waived him. He was not on a PS.

His raise was recent as he was on the Pats 53, was waived and signed to the PS and given a bump in pay.
