Mounting frustration in Denver locker room: "Any time we hold Brady to 16 points, we expect to win!"

I'll disagree about from start to finish but potentially being down 10-3 at Denver is a hell of a lot different than being up. The Ryan play turned everything around.
Ryan's play is what makes your statement that Denver was the better team just flat-out wrong. In case you missed it, the team Ryan plays for is not Denver. His being a part of the Patriots helps make them the better team. It's about the reality of making plays, not potentially hypothetically putting points on the scoreboard.

One thing many missed about that win was that the Patriots played Baltimore, who is obviously a really physical team, on Monday Night Football and then had to play in Denver, and teams who play in the road after a Monday night game win about 20% of the time, let alone when you play the defending SB champ at home. Style points aside for a second that was a huge win and they did it without Gronk and knowing their wideouts would be ineffective against two really good corners. The defense played really well and they played exactly the way they needed to on offense to win the game. I loved it and find it amazing some are still looking for the negative. They arent perfect but they are exactly the kind of team you want heading into the playoffs. They are physically and mentally tough and execute at a really high level in every aspect of the game. They have won without their best players and are undefeated on the road. To top it off they have the GOAT coach and QB leading them into the tournament. The Patriots are the team to beat and I find it amazing people can find things to still be negative about.

good point. the schedule makers certainly set the bar as high as they possibly could for that game, given a short week after a particularly physical game followed by travel to play at Mile High. As you point out, just going on the road the week after MNF is a challenge, add to that the naturally exaggerated home field advantage Denver enjoys and this game was a truly outstanding accomplishment.

i mean i know im going to get dislikes for this but.

HE'S NOT WRONG

the denver defense held the #1 offense in the league to 16 points. They did their job. The blame 100% goes on the denver offense here. which got completely shut out for 3 and 3/4's of the game.

A real pro doesn't run to the media to complain and doesn't shut down another player in the locker room. He goes to the coaching staff and handles it in house.

Moreover HE lost the game as much as any other individual for that bonehead penalty and preening down 13 points on an upcoming 4th down stop. Seriously WHAT are his priorities? They certainly are not team-based.

He's the LAST person to be complaining about anyone else for that game. He should be embarrassed.
