without lookimg, My guess is john harbaugh

Edit: no mention of harbaugh in there

"Gee I wonder who that could be? "

haha......great minds think alike, Neuro.

It doesn't protect the integrity of the game like having your entire team hold the other entire team to run out a game clock...........

The other 31 teams, in their attempts to try and hold the Pats back, have really watered down the product in the last ten years.

Yep, keep it going...that's the ticket.

Well, it seemed OK before, but now that the Patriots have done it...

(I know Collins did it before, just saying)

I made a joke about this in the game thread right after McClellin blocked it. I was joking, I didn't actually expect anyone to actually call for outlawing the practice. I guess you can never overestimate the pettiness of the NFL. Losers. Why don't you coach your teams up better and not give away your snap count.

THIS is OK.

THIS is not.

I wonder why....hmmmmm...gonna need some help here......

That article is a great read because it explains how and why the play works, that it's more than just being able to jump. It makes it clear that Arians' alarming scenario of a snapper being kicked in the face as he stands up isn't likely, because you don't leap at snappers who stand up.

This is something that's been confusing me. I've read in a few places that FG kicks don't really have a count, and its basically set to the same amount of time from when the whistle blows. I've never played ST, so have no clue how it works. I have noticed that there doesn't seem to be anyone "hiking" the ball or anything. Seems the ball is hiked when the center wants to hike it. (I apologize for my stupidity in advance)

If you watch it is hte holder that triggers the snap he checks with the kicker then mack specfic hand motions. that is is pat of the reason you can not line up over the center on kicks the center is not looking up at all until after the snap being over the center would be dangerous for him and give the defense and unfair advantage.

The odd thing about this all is that Kam Chancellor is the one who opened the floodgates for this in 2014 playoffs despite this being done in the past successfully but not as often as it is now, which is almost becoming a regular occurence.
