Why is everyone so sure that we'll keep three tight-ends this year? Given how unsuccessful they've been in the passing game the last couple years and how BB went out of his way to get a bunch of new WR, I'd be willing to bet they'll carry 6 WR and 2 TE.

Well, my basis for it is that David Thomas is a stud and could easily surpass Watson when he's healthy. Watson is pretty damn good as a receiver, but his blocking still leaves a LOT to be desired. Marcellus Rivers is making a case for a spot as well. Kyle Brady is an amazing blocker and his hands aren't bad at all, if called upon to receive.

We need two blocking TE's and a receiving TE. It would be great if all the TE's could do both. However, the primary reason for 3 TE's is beacuse of how much we use them in BLOCKING.

* BB loves his TE's. I'm expecting Watson, Brady and Rivers to start the year off with Thomas a 6 week PUP guy and maybe even eventually IR'd. Foot injuries can be tough to come back from and he's hardly even been seen around let alone practice.

Can Watson play special teams or is he too fragile? He has the perfect size / speed.
