If Moses retires, these may be one-year options.

Martin. Not spectacular but experienced, steady and reliable.

While I understood it, I didn't like seeing Martin get cut. I thought he did pretty well in this offense and was a nice veteran presence at KR/PR last year.
Who would you have cut to keep him?
There was no foreseeable need for 5 WRs at cutdown time.

A DT would make sense now that Branch won't be suspended.
Kilgo has to stay for 3 games right? Taken off practice squad of another team??

Keyshawn Martin is an experienced punt returner, knows our playbook well, and is more likely to adjust well to the rigors of late-season pro football than either a rookie like Lucien or a 2nd-year player like White
Considering how other teams are usually all too eager to pounce on Patriots' scraps, I think it's worth noting that Martin's not playing for anybody. Not disqualifying, but something to consider.

One other thing, how about Nate Washington? If healthy he could be useful

Kilgo was released by the Broncos, we claimed him on waivers. We didn't take him from their practice squad so he could go at any time.

Doesn't matter much as that person will barely be used. The answer is more 2 RB sets. I would be happier seeing White/Lewis split out wide than some JAG WR or TE at this point.

The Pats still have Bennett, Edelman, Hogan, Mitchell, White, Lewis. Those guys should do the lifting and if someone else needs to catch a ball on occasion toss one to Develin or Blount for a short gain.

No need or reason to use anyone else or try to break anyone in at this point.

At this point offensive the guys who should nearly always be on the field are Mitchell, Edelman and Hogan. Add in 2 of Blount/White/Lewis/Bennett/Develin depending on what you are trying to do.

Three traditional healthy receivers is a bit light at the position.

Okay, slam me for it, but if he's in shape and up to it, I'd love to see Welker step in for a few games. you know Brady would be back on the page with him in 5 minutes, and we're talking 3-5 catches a game here.

My guess is Keyshawn Martin, though, because he can play special teams.

Wouldn't break my heart to see AD back, either. He did have a 100-yard game before, and a decent rookie season. Knows the system and can play when he wants to.

I said I understood it. I did not advocate keeping him then but I do advocate picking him up now.

Well I am not saying don't add someone else. I am just saying even if we do i wouldn't play him for a snap if i could help it as we have more effective options on the roster.

Bruh, that would be incredible, but I doubt it'll ever happen. I agree that Martin is likely though I think White or Lucien may be more likely - but IMO I don't think they'll bring in anyone.

Martin is the definition of a JAG. He couldn't even keep a roster spot on the San Francisco 49ers who have the worst WR corps in the NFL. No thanks

Don't even bring up Welker. He's been out of football, his speed is probably gone. When you leave football for 2 years at age 35, your legs, reaction time, leaves for good. I shouldn't even have to bring up he is one concussion away from becoming a vegetable.

TO is borderline delusional

I think the answer here is our practice squad guys. DeAndrew White or Devin Lucien. Both young, talented, and IN our current system.
