The Pats are long overdue a multi defensive TO game. Hopefully today is the day. And hopefully it's early to take away any steam the Jets may have playing today.

Had the same thoughts myself. Strong, aggressive start of D and smooth first drive by O (like in the last two games) would be the right medicine to take whats left of their steam out. And then try to finish it off early not like w 49ers - some big TO instead of momentum changing holding penalties ..

Looking forward to this game, not as nervous about this one as I would at other times, hope my lack of worry is not misguided.
Interesting to see what snaps Sheard gets and how he applies himself.

I'm kind of uneasy about Brady and Gronk playing. I really don't believe we need them against the Jests.

Time for the Pats to demonstrate they are championship qualifying team.

This game is the confidence builder. Steady consistent offense, defense and special teams.

None of this past stuff we have seen week after week.

Defense needs to help us get out to a fast start and bury these guys so we can sit some people in the field 4th. That never seems to happen like I'd hope though...

The Jesters always play us tough, especially at their place. I'm always on edge for one of these games, especially with a bunch of guys < 100%. Looking for the defense to step up today against a guy who historically crumbles under any kind of a pass rush.

Interesting stat: Fitzsixpicks is 2-7 against the Patriots with 18 TDs and 17 INTs. My guess is that he is what his record says he is - two TDs and two INTs today, basically cancelling himself out.

Yep, but it's also probably going to smell like **** because...it's New Jersey.

Seriously, though, I drove right by the stadium a couple days ago on the way back to DC and it smelled like someone took a massive dump all over the entire area from Fort Lee to Elizabeth.

Looking at the rosters .. Jets are the healthiest they've been .. but they do miss Decker, possibly will miss Mangold. They do have big receivers but they don't have big TE threat. It will be interesting to see if the ugly signing Seferian-Jenkins made some strides in the bye week to pose as additional threat.

Here are projected Jets inactives by Cimini:
Projecting the Jets' inactives for tomorrow: C Nick Mangold, CB Marcus Williams, CB Nick Marshall, QB Christian Hackenberg, WR Devin Smith, RB C.J. Spiller and LB Julian Stanford. Tough week to predict because only Williams and Marshall have been ruled out due to injuries. This is the kind of week where there could be a surprise or two. It makes sense for Mangold (ankle) to sit another week; he's had only one practice in five weeks. Why push it? Spiller can sit because they re-signed Jeremy Ross, who can return kickoffs as well as punts.

As for Pats .. they will be missing only Slater and Cyrus Jones who have been ruled out.
If news from sources that all injured playmakers will indeed play the Pats inactives could be:

Slater (I), Cyrus (I), Waddle, Foster, Hamilton, Lengel

Last spot is a bit tricky. I would go with Coleman but they might want a CB backup although they have also JJ. Mitchell would be another option if Hogan is good to go but he was great last game and its hard to keep a guy like this out. Richards and Grissom are probably unlikely options since STs are already missing one key player.

Lets hope Sheard can go off on a Khalil Mack type stretch for the remainder of the season..

"That guy is Khalil Mack, who’s racked up two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, 10 tackles for a loss and all eight of his sacks in his past seven games. Mack’s not a flash in the pan, either. Since the start of 2015, no player has more than his 23 sacks.."

This will be the first Pats game I'll be watching on my new Samsung KS8000 55 inch 4K HDR TV.
