What would it takes to get akiem hicks back in a pats jersey? What type of pick

....and even if Dak falters, I may be one of the few who think- while made of glass, Romo can still be a pretty decent QB.
I have always liked Romo. He is interesting to watch but he's come up short in many big games.
If Dallas puts itself in a good position in NFC heading to playoffs the only way they can screw it up is replacing Prescott with Romo to win those games. Nothing Jerry Jones does surprises me.

Joe Thomas cap hits if traded:

2016: (9/17) * 8.3 million: 4.4 million
2017: 8.8 million
2018: 8.8 million

Cannon and Vollmer are 2017 FAs. Could move Solder to RT and draft a swing tackle next draft.

Cannon's playing too well at RT to bench though.

Funny part is neither seems to want to move him. Thomas or the team. If I'm Thomas, I'd want to at 32, try out a contender. For the team, by the time they may (never will but bear with me) be good, he will be retired.

Stupid. Just move on and get into a better position for both.

except that branch is playing at a near all-pro level and the young guys don't cost much, there's not much of an upgrade with him

and don't go by what a guy can do against the viking OL

Note regarding cap if we do not make a trade:

Miguel's UNOFFICIAL 2017 Patriots Salary Cap Information Page

2017 cap space: Projected 60 million + 9.5 million in 2016 rollover (Cap Space=$9,577,422 (@patscap) | Twitter) + 6.5 million in Amendola cut (or less if restructured) = about 75 million in cap space.

We do not need 75 million in cap space with our FA list imo:

2017 NFL Free Agents Tracker

Something has to give. We are in a prime spot to take on a contract for now & the future with our cap space/picks.

Hope we make a move.
You're in for a big letdown. The Patriots will sign very few players at market value. They
would rather carry over cap money into 2018.

Ugh Browns willing to deal Joe Hadden too.

He had a good run in the playoffs in2014. They would have been in the NFCCG hasn't they screwed Dez on the catch.

We probably won't get Haden, otherwise he would've been included in the Collins deal.

OT - just to pass time ..

Doesn't this guy know what day is today?

Another guy clearly confusing offseason with regular season ..

As long as the air pressure in his tires were within NFL specifications, he will not be punished.

I'd take Shazier off the Steelers as well, but a they won't trade him and he can never stay healthy.

Doubt we have the space for that and our corners aren't that bad.
If they take on that contract, Paying Malcolm in 2016, spring of 2017 becomes mandatory.

It doesn't make any sense to trade draft picks for the opportunity to overpay Joe Haden.
