The Colts have a lot more than hope, they got the hardware to go with it

That was last season. Congratulations. This season, you've got a lineup that's losing starters to injury, retirement, free agency....
So, again I say, and I don't mean it with any ill intent:
Keep hope alive
But as of now nope no chance in fact call me crazy but i'm betting the Texans beat the colts twice this year.
The Colts are toast and the real question is whether they will make the play-off's and not the Super Bowl. Other than receiver they have no depth whatsoever, and they are relying on their starters to make it through the season and play-offs healthy to have any chance at all at postseason success. I see no way the Colts defense makes it through this season intact and their starters don't even approach the level of the top defenses in the leage.
They might have a chance if they were in better shape offensively but their depth is really no better there than it is defensively. Only WR is solid, after Manning and Addai they have nothing, and TE is questionable.
Colts Offense isn't deep? Manning Harrison Wayne Addai Clark Gonzales. Who has a better overall offensive lineup in the league?? TE is questionable? You're kidding right Dallas Clark is one of the top TE's in the league.

What I said was that other than receiver they have no depth, and what you named was their receiving corps. They have no depth behind Manning, Addai, and their OL, and they have less than no depth behind their entire defense.
Feel free to make an argument that the Colts have quality depth, it should be interesting. .
BTW-I'd take the Patriots offense in a heartbeat over the Colts.
Moss, Stallworth, Welker, and Watson are just as good the Colts receivers as a group. The Pats also have Gafney and Caldwell who they nearly beat you with last year along with Backups Brady (a superb blocking TE) and TE Thomas who many feel is going to be a star...better depth! The Pats wideouts give up nothing to the Colts anymore especially when you consider that Harrison is aging (35?) and Gonzales is a rookie (when did he get canonized BTW?).
The Pats and Colts Olines are basically close but Ugoh is an unproven rookie and Light was actually went to the Probowl last year and when you analyze the depth thingie again where the Colts have 1 player (Johnson) with any talent and experience and the Pats have 3-4 (O'callahan, Hochstein, and Britt). At running back the Colts have the immortal DeeDee Dorsey to backup addai while the Pats have Faulk, Morris and even Evans in a pinch (plenty of experience there).
So, the Pats and Colts offenses are fuctionaly equivqalent with the pats actually having better depth. I think that we can agree that on the defensive side of the ball the Pats are superior to the Colts both in starters and in depth.
Colts had some serious injury problems last year and they solved some problems in time to make a run (Reagor, Simon, Doss, Stokely, Harper in Playoffs, Clark) Why would you not think they can do it again?
Honestly, based on recent history and colts losses/acquisitions, which do you feel is more likely:
A) Colts have some difficulties but will be in the mix this year and ought to be considered contenders
B) Colts are done and will lose their division/not make the playoffs.
I know what most reasonable people who think who are able to put aside hatred of the colts.
I know you wish the game this year was in Foxboro after 800 years in a row of the game being in NE (aside from the AFCCG last year in Indy).
That doesn't change the facts.
Go look up what it means to be whistling in the wind. The Colts are not going ANYWHERE anytime soon. Get used to it and buckle your seat belt and this whole thing will go a lot smoother
Neither Moss nor Stallworth have proven they can play an entire season for quite some time. I would say even if they did, they would be hard pressed to top the Harrison/Wayne combo. In addition to that, NE is starting all over again with WRs, which will take some time even with the increase in talent. The only thing that I agree with is that NE has better depth.

The idea that the Colts have been "injury-free" is ridiculous.
Just like the pats, every year players come out of nowhere because of the system and the coaching. No one knows who it wil be right now. I can't give you specific players that will play an important role for depth but I can tell you that, like the Pats, the Colts have a system in place that develops the players buried on their depth charts so they can contribute

I think, given the offseason the Pats have had, Pats fans are right to be optimistic and enthusiastic about the upcoming season. Predictions of the imminent demise of the Colts, however, are WAY, WAY premature.
I know you wish the Colts weren't a thorn in your side; I know you wish they hadn't won 3 in a row vs. the Pats, I know you wish the game this year was in Foxboro after 800 years in a row of the game being in NE (aside from the AFCCG last year in Indy).
