What happened to receiving a warning before ejection on personal fouls?

From what I saw it didnt look that bad. The Brown player took a cheap shot.

Sanu
Eifert reportedly will play.
A good test to seriously evaluate D especially CB and especially #3CB
Exactly. I think Dalton is skiddish but still pretty good.

The Squealers will be THE challenge

I wouldn't give up on him yet, he's only a rookie. I think he'll be ok on coverage, just had a bad day. I have to admit, he makes me really, really nervous on kick offs and punt returns.

I wouldn't give up on him in two years. Look how White has come along nicely.
Lombardi said #1 virtue of BB is patience.
We ought to try it sometimes ..

He's a rookie playing the 2nd hardest position in the NFL. Not every rookie comes out of the gate strong. It's all about player development.

Plus, the first year or so (I think he alternated the second year?) he was a receiver at Alabama, and is still learning the position. I still have high hopes for him, he certainly isn't the type to back down from a challenge (or a fight). He needs to learn to control his emotions more though. I bet BB will have his ears ringing this week.

From the eye test, he does not play like a Patriot. He appears to be a player the Browns or Bengals usually draft.
Perhaps he plays like corners that the patriots usually draft.

I wasn't a fan of the selection in that round. Idk. We will see if he can get better. I wanna see eric rowe. Is this guy ever going to see the field?

Come on y'all.

Jonas Gray.

That's really all the precedent you need here. Dude had 4 touchdowns and 201 yards, and Bill didn't let him play again after missing practice. Practice.

Jones can possibly be on the chopping block because he hasn't given us anything near what Jonas did in that Indy game. Muffing returns, etc and now getting ejected from a game. Bill doesn't mess around with these things. That is not The Patriot Way

I will bet you any amount of money that Cyrus Jones is not cut this season. Blank check, you choose the number. I'll even give you 10 to 1 odds if you want.

I don't even think Jones has been good. He's underwhelmed, but claiming that he could be on the chopping block 5 weeks into his rookie season is ludicrous. It's simply not happening. It's right up there with the people who claimed Bennett was on the chopping block after week 3 of the preseason.

I'm not saying it is a certainty. I am simply saying that it is a possibility.

25 to 1 odds. If you think it's a real possibility, surely you'd be willing to take 25 to 1 odds.

R-E-L-A-X

To be clear, what kind of odds would you have to get before you'd actually be willing to put some money behind that sentiment?

Kinda funny that you'd spend half of the game thread complaining about Jones, and then complaining about people not agreeing with your complaints about Jones, then you come here and complain about him some more, then you complain here that people don't agree with your ridiculous suggestion that Belichick might cut him... and for all that hot air, you apparently don't have any actual conviction behind what you're saying. Weird.

No he was cut because he was an average runner who hasn't exactly set the world on fire since he was here.

Anyone can run on Indy.

Excuse me, but I did not complain about anything. Also me spending half the time "complaining" about Jones in the game thread is not only hyperbolic, but wholly inaccurate. I made two posts about it at most, and I posted a lot in that thread.

And just because I won't bet you for something I am not certain about doesn't mean what I'm saying has no merit. Who are you again? Have a seat.

He was also a third-year UDFA, and not a rookie 2nd round pick.

After that kind of performance, you give a guy a chance. Blount had a similar performance against Indy and he's still here. I'm not comparing the two as RBs, but I'm saying I don't think that's a fair assessment of why he got cut. He woke up late for that practice and got in the dog house. I believe that is less of an infringement than getting ejected from a game we are winning.

Perhaps to you and others that's not so much of a big deal, and I respect your opinion. Mine is that this guy doesn't fit, and hasn't contributed positively in the areas he's been given a chance. Therefore, I wouldn't mind seeing him gone, nor would I be surprised if it happened.

Obviously some of you will.
