Johnson is 26 years old and has essentially not played football for 3 years, appearing in 1 game and making 1 tackle.
Gause is a 23 year old rookie.
Bill Belichick feels he has a better shot at helping his team.

How long is it going to take you to learn that you are really bad at evaluating football players, transactions and roster decisions?

Post of the day!

Rufus has a far, far better chance of making a living in the league than something called Quentin Gause
ever, ever will. Why Bill bothers himself with junk like this is one of life's mysteries.

How people get their rocks off from trolling an internet message board is an even bigger mystery...

???

So you think that someone who has posted over 11,000 times here over the last 12 years is a troll.

Just because someone who very often posts very poor analysis does not make cap a troll.

A very accomplished troll...

Posting a lot doesn't preclude them from being a troll either.

Gaffney has been released with an Injury Settlement:

Think you should look through the majority of his posts then. He continously bashes the game decisions and drafting of BB as if it would grant him some vampire-esque lifeforce. A troll.

Great post. Reminded me I have the excellent "Lifeforce" on my TiVo for re-watching.
Trust me on this guys.

I agree, I think that is called having a difference of opinion. The whole point of a board like this is to share our opinions on the Patriots with other Patriot fans, some of which may share our opinions and some not.

But that brings up a larger point, I hear posters accusing other posters of being trolls all of the time, does everybody mean the same thing by "troll"? I guess my understanding is similar to that I found in the Urban Dictionary: "One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument". When posters accuse other posters of being trolls, is that what you are accusing the other person of, trying to cause maximum disruption and argument? I'm just curious.

There are posters with a difference of opinion
There are posters who are trolls
And there are posters who are stupid, miserable, idiots.....all the time

Everyone knows who everyone is.

Can also re-sign with the Pats later in the season if they need him I believe?

If the settlement was for 8 weeks, Gaffney has to wait until Week 12 to resign with the Pats.

So it's the # of weeks of the settlement +3? I remember it used to be +6.

Correct. The change was made earlier this year.

Can now sign with any other team.
Actually no. He has to edit the length of the injury settlement.
I.e. If he received a settlement of half his salary he cannot sign with anyone until after 8 weeks. (The amount of the settlement is what the player and team agree the length of time the injury would keep the player out is)
To return to New England he must wait an extra 3 weeks. This is because goodell said the patriots cannot use this trick. J/k it's the rule for resigning with the same team that gave you the injury settlement.

The bylaws say that he can sign with another team right now. See Article 17.16 paragraph K which covers settlements

See, you got me all excited about a potentially great movie I've never seen and then I find this rotten tomatoes review. Only 45% liked it and no critics consensus? Now that's a pissah!

BTW, Miguel may or may not be an AI (I think he is), but I'll bet Belichick is a Vulcan.
