Carson Palmer opinion on Tom Brady

With that kind of clear-minded, thoughtful explication of the facts, the man is definitely a candidate for the presidency of the Jets Fan Club when he retires.

Well, I have a certain level of respect for anyone able to make it to the NFL level in the first place, not a very easy thing to do. But I wasn't really referring to his on the field play. He always seemed like an ok guy watching from afar. But anyone who buys into Deflategate just seems really stupid to me.

Don't you think it's a problem that he's a member of the NFLPA, just witnessed the league's most decorated player (who also plays his position) go through federal court systems for over a year, and somehow thinks altitude and humidity were determining factors? I'm not sure what your job is, but wouldn't you be concerned if a business partner or even a competitor, doing the exact same job as you, became the biggest story on earth, and wouldn't you want to know what's going on in any way?

I think he does a perfect job of representing the haters in a nutshell. He doesn't have the first bleeping clue what he is talking about (did you say it had to do with the altitude, Carson? Really??)but all the media says Brady is guilty so hey, he must be guilty. You know, 11/12 balls and all.

Him not following the story is worse, in my opinion. I can understand not reading every story, report and analysis, but he should have paid attention to the court stuff. Palmer's union ended up getting taken behind the woodshed in the Brady and Peterson cases. Goodell can now suspend Tyrann Mathieu for 6 games if he doesn't like his hair color and all his teammates will be able to say is "if you get busted..."

I don't know Palmer stayed ignorant by choice, the players association did a poor job communicating what was at stake or a combination of both.

Ohhh boy. That is the ultimate bulletin board material.

Luckily for Palmer and the Cards, Brady won't be playing. So it's not like Brady can do anything about it.

Either way, the Cards will be playing the Patriots-lite. Even if they win, it won't mean much in the long run. Arizona is going nowhere with Palmer as their QB.

Absolutely agree. Hence why I lost respect for the guy. Am I missing something here?

My guess, and my guess only, is that the NFLPA very likely kept everyone up to date via electronic and hard copy info exactly what was going on. And, like most people who get news which doesn't affect them directly, when that news was received it was either deleted unread and/or thrown in the trash. Doesn't mean **** - until it's them...

This is the real story here. How can so many of these guys have their head in the sand?

Wouldn't this be the definition of a conflict of interest? The NFLPA should remove Palmer immediatley for this but they wont. They don't care.

Palmer is 0-4 lifetime against Brady. F him.

That indifference and frankly, ignorance, is exactly why the players have a crappy CBA.
And if they meet in the playoffs palmer will be 0-5

Yea well he can suck a bag of ****s because Palmer blows. Nobody will remember his sorry ass when he retires.
