THE OFFICIAL WHO THE HELL'S STILL NOT WATCHING NFL UNTIL OCTOBER THREAD

I will tune in to Pats games and Pats games only. It will be hard without seeing #12 out there for the first 4 games though.

ill be watching. what i won't be doing and haven't for awhile now is watch any other game that doesn't include the patriots including the Superbowl and playoffs. if the pats aren't playing I'm not watching. and i don't buy anything from the NFL. i no longer consider myself a NFL fan. I'm a pats fan only.

I'm not giving him grief. He can do whatever he wants. Just, in looking at it from a psychological standpoint, I don't see why someone who isn't going to watch for ethical or moral reasons would have to broadcast on a website and message board about football that he isn't watching. I would think that those who are serious about it just simply wouldn't watch and, thus, wouldn't have a reason to post.

Well, we're all Pats fans here. I wanted a discussion with people who support the same team as me. Again, I wanted to see who else wasn't watching. Not seeing how me posting what I want to do for 4 gamedays negates me not watching. Sure, you said from a psychological standpoint and all that, but you might be reading too much into it.

I still have reason to post for now, because I just watched TB play one last game before the suspension. After that, when week 1 starts, then, yeah, I'll have no reason to post for a month.

I will be watching, but I have to admit Deflategate has totally sucked my passion for the Patriots and the NFL out of me. Any long time user of this site knows that I used to be a very active poster on this site. I just lost the passion for posting and following the team. I didn't even watch a single preseason game from start to end. I am kinda apathetic to the regular season with it less than a week away.

FU Roger Goodell!

Millions of TV sets turned off in the Boston area would be missed. The reason the NYFL did what they did, and Kraft went along with it, is because they know people with your attitude will never stop watching. Enjoy the next episode, and know that you are as responsible as anyone.
Millions just aren't going to do it though. You don't have millions who will want to.

In nice in theory, but it's just reality.

I'm not watching until Brady is back. I've loved and supported this team since I was 13 yrs old. As a foolish 18 year old, I was skeptical of Tom Brady being given the starting QB position... Obviously that changed, and the 15 years since have given me a huge respect for Brady. I honestly sort of feel like I know the guy. What Goodell & the NFL have done to him is so outrageously unjust, corrupt, unfounded, unprecedented and disgusting, that I am finding it remarkably easy to to simply ignore everything NFL for the 1st four weeks of the regular season.
I will still visit Patsfans though-because I really love all my fellow Patriots "family members".?

Millions are saying "millions won't do it, why should I?" I don't care what the millions do, I know what's right.

Do not remember the last time I have missed a radio broadcast(when they were usually blacked out) or a TV broadcast.. as much as I am pissed about this whole brouhaha, will continue to watch this team.

Last year there was a wedding last September, I dropped my wife off, and went to the reception to watch the game.. boy did I get *****ed at. My wife is a rabid fan also..

I seriously don't understand how some of you can call yourselves pats fans when you are willing to abandon the team and the other 52 players who are going to be out there trying to fight as hard as they can to make sure the team is in Good shape for when Brady comes back.

Losing Brady sucks but he's not the only player on the team and certainly not the only one going to be affected by his absence. There are better ways to send a message than not watching a game no one will ever know(or care) you didn't watch.

We have Brady getting suspended for a violation he didn't even commit. They can't prove he did it, but he still can't play. Why give an organization like that your time and money? And who says not watching the games means I'm abandoning the team? I can still wear jerseys on Sundays and wish all the other players good health and nothing but the best. Just can't watch.

In a perfect world (imo), all NE fans wouldn't show up to the games, not watch, and the players and coaches would go on strike.

With apologies to the late Lou Gorman:

"The sun will rise. The sun will set. And I will watch the Patriots."

I'm gonna watch a stream instead of TV.

Ever consider that football is a huge pastime for some life myself? Why make myself miserable by refusing to watch it? I'm not going to make myself miserable just to make a point.

Considered it? I lived it. Why else would I be so upset at them making a mockery of the competitive integrity of the league? The only input any of us have is whether we tune in and/or whether we buy their products. I'm voting against railroading the team I used to root for. You're voting for it. I hope you enjoy it when they do it again.

It is what it is. At the end of the day it is still just a game as well, despite how much I enjoy it. I save protesting for causes that actually affect me and my own life in a personal way. Protesting against forms of entertainment won't get you very far. That's just my opinion.

Let the players be the ones to protest. They're the ones that, hmm... yknow, are actually the ones getting paid by these guys?

I'm not "protesting". I'm not one of those "Free Brady" idiots that waste their time in Gillette's parking lot, wearing jerseys that help pay Goodell's salary.

I am merely not watching and not buying, which is the only thing those 32 greedy scumbags really fear.

As you point out, the players are getting paid. Protesting too much means not getting paid. I get nothing out of the league anymore except disappointment and disillusionment , so what am I missing?

You can go ahead and do as you please, that's your decision if you feel that way. I'm not debating that. I'm just saying I don't feel like I have an obligation as a Patriots fan to force myself to not watch the games.

If it's just a game, there's no reason for you to feel "miserable" if you don't watch. Football isn't the only option for pastime. As for protesting for causes that actually effect you in a personal way, you're telling me you didn't take it personal when deflategate first started? Really? Even if this doesn't affect our paychecks, I'm sure you were just as pissed as me.

That's cool. Why are you still here, again? We get it. "You're not watching football gor the first four weeks". Why are you still posting about it?
