"We" don't play the Giants again for another three years.

Never was someone beloved and then hated in the same city as much as Coughlin. Loved as a Boston College coach and hated as a Giants coach.

I never hated him, I have to say. Respected the HELL out of him. JMHO.

Good grief, I just apologized. What more do you want? I'm not a player, I'm just a stupid fan, and I shouldn't have said that. Mea culpa.

You're god damn right you shouldn't have said that. Huge mistake, bro.

I'm sorry for using the word 'we'. I should be ashamed. It won't happen again. Please forgive me.

I never understood people who say the fans are not part of the organization. I would think Kraft considers us as such.

Seeing him reminds me of THAT NIGHT. And not that night in 2012. I don't even remember that night any more. THAT NIGHT. I will never forget THAT NIGHT.

Coughlin or no Coughlin, the Gints are the Gints. I will always have the shivers when I see those blue shirts. Thank God the Pats beat them last year.

Well, I was just busting balls before but I guess this is a debate now. Unless there is a player, coach, or front office person posting incognito on here that I don't know about, "we" are not a part of the team. "We" do not sacrifice our bodies on the field during game days, "we" do not work out in the weight room with the team, "we" are not in the film room, "we" are not doing two a days or at practice, "we" are not making financial decisions for players that will impact their lives or the franchise, "we" are not getting paid by the organization, and "we" do not travel with the team for activities or games. "We" are fans. "We" are not playing the New York Giants tonight or three years from now, the Patriots are. We pay to see THEM do that on the field. I would think that even the players on the team would agree with this sentiment. We are fans... they are the team.

This one might beat it: Belichick with the Giants (in particular his SB defensive game plan in the Buffalo SB which is in the Hall of Fame) loved in New York/New Jersey and now hated there (resigning as the HC of the NYJ and the HC of the NEP.)

We are part of the NE patriots family. We pay the money that makes all you mentioned possible.

I could make some point about the entire industry of sports relying on irrational tribal loyalty to a cold, uncaring corporation much of which is driven by marketing departments and is designed to exploit that hot-blooded tribalism for material profit, thus making the use of a collective pronoun to denote that cold franchise not just an option for fans but indeed an intended and expected outcome.

But really the truth is we is just easier and less awkward to say
