But the good news...

...they let him keep his stapler.

I believe the 2nd round is Belichick's worst round and at 50/50 (when drafting at an average spot of 57th in the round) is exactly where he should be.

No Team Can Beat the Draft

It really is epic.

Jordan Richards- I'm calling it...sucks
Jimmy G- ?
Collins- ELITE
Dobson- Sucked
Wilson- Sucked
Dowling- Sucked
Vereen- Good
Gronk- ELITE
Cunningham- Sucked
Chung- Overall, very good
Brace- Sucked (RIP)
Darius Butler- Sucked (but did ok in Indy)
Vollmer- very good
Wheatley- Sucked
Chad Jackson- Sucked
Marquise Hill- Sucked (RIP)
Geno Wilson- Good for 2 years. OK
Bethel Johnson- Sucked
Deion Branch- very good
Light- Very good
Klemm-Sucked

21 picks
2 ELITE
5 Very good
1 Good
1 ?
12 sucks (2 dead)

I think a 38% for success for 2nd round is not too bad but man he really whiffed badly on a bunch of players.

There's studies that put the chance of a bust at the end of the 2nd round as high as 75% percent but I usually take the conservative low end of 50% when making my points.

I think Roberts is going to end up OK to Good and I think its fair to put Butler in that same category.

As much of a Belichick homer as I am, it seems he is either unlucky or doesnt have an eye for receivers. The excuses I make for him there is the suspicion that our offense is extremely difficult to pick up.

Well, considering that the Patriots immediately released him, what would the point of that thread be?
i posted that yesterday. when he wasn't released yet. that's the point and you missed it. try to keep up.

You missed Spikes.
And I think you're being harsh on Bethel Johnson since he was brought in to be a Return guy..

I'll put Spikes as OK

Johnson was good for a couple of years then gone. Maybe an OK.

Spikes had 2+ good seasons and without him on that defense, where would we have been in 2011? You think we'd have made it to the SB? Remember that 2011 was when Spikes sprained his MCL and missed the middle of the season only to come back for the last game and play-offs, sureing up the Defense in General.

Spikes was a legitimately acceptable/good, though not great, pick.

Johnson? Not even close.

Bethel had two good years as a KR on SB teams. If he did not have those he would have sucked.

Spikes. Liability in the passing game. Very good vs the run. I just don't see him as a good 2nd Rd pick but more of an ok one
