I am using the depth chart at Patriots.Com to classify a player's position.

There are currently 4 players on Active PUP. They can be moved to Reserve PUP on Tuesday and later be activated during the regular season.

The Pats have 2 players on IR (Michael Williams and Frank Kearse).

I noticed you have 3 QB's on roster.....would Brady be counted as active since he is suspended or does that go down to 2 QB's when season starts and they then can add one more player?

Cutting 7 from 82....

Wouldn't be surprised if this arbitrary punishment also includes that he still counts against the active roster space. I mean why not while we're making it up as we go?

Brady will remain on the active roster until his suspension starts on September 3rd.

I think I'm just about up to speed on the roster as it stands now.......getting trimmed down from 75 to 53 will be the tough part
