Prince dead at Paisley Park estate in Minnesota

CHANHASSEN, Minn. (KMSP) - Prince is dead at 57, Fox 9 has confirmed through multiple sources. Carver County Chief Deputy Jason Kamerud confirmed a response to a medical call at 9:43 a.m at Prince's Paisley Park estate in Chanhassen, Minnesota.

Paisley Park is the compound where Prince lives, records music and hosts parties and concerts, including one party just a few days ago.

R.I.P.

Oh man wtf. He was just playing in the Super Bowl recently. That really sucks. RIP

R.I.P. What a year 2016 has been so far. . Lost another great legend way too soon !

Supposedly his plane just had to have an emergency landing so he could be checked into a hospital with "flu-like symptoms". I, personally, never really cared for his music but his influence on the music world is undeniable. Great loss.

Remember seeing Purple Rain in the theater. Ok movie. Great songs.

57 is way too young.

Wow. What a year.

I can't decide which death I care less about. Prince or Chyna.

Tough call.

Sudden and tragic. Not a huge fan but as others have noted, he had a huge impact on music. Yes even the music you listen to.

Not to disrespect any I don't mention, but

Bowie
Prince
Haggard

is a lot of greatness lost in too short a span of time.

R.I.P.
Keith Emerson, the most talented of them all.

Can 2016 just end already?

David Bowie

Prince

Pearl Washington

Phife Dawg

Garry Shandling

Alan Rickman

Abe Vigoda

Maurice White

Vanity

Harper Lee

George Martin

Keith Emerson

Ken Howard

Joe Garagiola

Jim Harrison

Merle Haggard

Chyna

The world lost one very talented musician, writer, singer, performer, producer and arranger.

Phife Dawg too.

His halftime show was the best one I've seen. That guitar solo in Purple Rain was magic and it was cool to see performers actually playing instruments/actually singing.
