Faulk and Vrabel were very good players ...

Clayborn played at a higher level IMO.

All 3 will and should get in some day. But since its already long overdue, gotta go with Clayborn. 3rd greatest cb in Pats history only behind NFL hofer mike Haynes and ty law.

Love my boy Faulk but this is Clayborn's third time as a nominee. It's time. Ask Dan Marino if he remembers him (he does; Lippett and Clay shut down the Fish). Him and Law actually have similar stats. He gave us 12 years of great defense and kick returns. The others will have plenty of chances but it's time.

Gotta go with Ray Clay for all the reasons stated.

Um...

By the way, before he made the lineup, He had 869 yards in kick off returns 31.0 average with three TDs as a rookie.

I think that's best ever.

Shutdown, lockdown, throw away the key, cornerback.

No question.

With that said he won't get in for dumb reasons.

Steve Nelson wasn't one to shoot his mouth off. When he says the greatest game ever seen by a cornerback, that means something.

For those who remember, Duper and Clayton with Marino, was the hottest WR combination of the decade. Clayborn's assignment, take whoever lined up and shut down one side of the field with no help.

Patriots Hall of Fame Nominee: Raymond Clayborn

Was hoping for Julius Adams, but Clayborn is looong overdue. I have a bad feeling one of the "new" guys will get the votes though. Clayborn was a stud.

Do you remember toward the end of the 85 AFCCG, Duper threw his helmet after another Marino incompletion and got flagged for it? That was the result of a game full of Clayborn frustration. It was beautiful.

I remember it like yesterday. All the padding inside it came out.

To that point, it was the greatest win in franchise history.

haynes was the BEST pats cb(and imo the best cb period in nfl history-he was almost as shutdown as deion, but unlike primetime, mike could actually tackle). But clayborn was my FAVORITE, probably because i saw his whole career, whereas stupid billy sullivan let haynes go to oakland. yes man, i remember that scene at the 85 afccg. That wasnt the only time ray clay did that either. one helluva player

Only time he was beat was by Willie McDonough

Clayborn was the MVP of the "Squish the Fish" game in '85. He was also an ace return specialist earlier in his career. He's probably the most talented of the three.

For team HOF, It's a toss up between him and Faulk in my mind, but I'm going with Faulk. Like Troy Brown, Faulk epitomizes the Belichick Patriot way with his scrappiness, clutchness, and leadership. If a patriot Hall of Fame is about who represents what the team is all about, Faulk needs to be there.

Voted for Vrabel but, you guys convinced me. Give it to Ray Clay. The dynasty Patriots will have their time. Need to get an old timer in before the ballot is stuffed with dynasty Patriots.

Clayborn we a super athelete coming out of Texas with blazing speed. He learned technique and became a complete CB against run and pass. Along with Haynes the best pair of CBs in Pats history and among the best anywhere.

I'd love to see Faulk and Vrabel tell the fans to vote for Clayborn. They were both huge team players, it would be like one more unselfish act of leadership from two of the greatest leaders this team has had.

Clayborn was HOF caliber. Best Patriot CB until Law who is not better but the other all time CB.

Please vote for Clayborn.

I love Kevin Faulk but he was a role player. I expected better of the voters. Overlooking Julius Adams, Matt Light, Leon Gray, Rodney Harrison for Faulk doesn't make sense to me.

By the way, who thought Len St Jean was worthy of being a finalist. Didn't they ever hear of Pete Brock?

I'm not a Haynes guy. I still see him falling on his butt in the 78 playoff game. That was game over. Plus Ray stuck with the Pats.
