Sad to see Chandler leave. He is one talented player, and I hope he has a long and successful NFL career. We have always yearned for a monster pass rusher, and he was that player at times and has the raw ability to be among the league's best if he can stay healthy. You don't see a lot of players with that combination and power, along with those insanely long arms that force a lot of fumbles.

By all accounts, he was also a good guy and teammate. Whatever happened with the police, well, I think a lot of things like that happen in the league but don't pick up public attention. If there's more to it, I hope he gets the help he needs.

In Bill I trust. But this one still stings.

I wish him nothing but the best accept when he is against the Pats.

He has a bright career in front of him and AZ is my 2nd fav team so i am glad he is there. I like their culture and how they carry themselves. He was always a class act and did everything the Patriots asked him.

Good weed in Phoenix so close to the Mexico border.

I'm a fan of Chandler's but I don't think he will be worth the big contract he is going to get next off season.

He was all-pro in the first half of seasons and mediocre in the 2nd half and playoffs. Best of luck to him.

he's a good dude.......as I said in another thread, I am glad he's with a good team....lining up next to Campbell will work for him

You the man Chan. Thanks for the memories Champ.

I'm sorry to see him go. He helped the Pats win another superbowl and made some exciting plays while here.

Interesting to see how his sack numbers go up now that he will more than likely have less responsibility on the Cards and can simply pin his ears back. I wish him the best. He was a very talented player but he seemed to always tail off as the season went on. Was he even on the field in Denver?

I thought Jones was a really good player and wish him well in Arizona. He did have a tendency to tail off at the end of season's but he also played a high number of snaps and played through injury. Too bad they would not have been able to re sign him because he is just coming into his own as a player.

Total guess on my part, but I would think good playoff teams would take the year's worth of film on the guy and game plan on him as the season played out.

Like the Pats didn't do against Von Miller in the AFCCG.

Chandler has been around the block since 2012. Teams early in the season knew what they were getting too. The Pats game planned for Von Miller. They just didn't catch nor did they adjust to the fact that the Broncos had our snap count down cold because of Stork's tell. I would suspect that is, in part, the reason why DeGuglielmo lost his job.

As a Syracuse alum, I'm doubly sad to see Chandler go. I'm trying to evaluate this trade objectively, neither with my Chandler pompoms nor my Pats pompoms.

One thing I can't stand is when Pats or Sox fans need to kick departing players in the butt as they leave the team (sometimes not on their own volition). A fair evaluation of this trade must include a fair evaluation of the player leaving. The fact is, Chandler Jones was a very, very good football player while he was here. Not the best against the run, but adequate. Very good as a pass rusher. Should have generated a lot more holding calls than he got. Good at creating turnovers. Good number of sacks. Not elite, but pretty darned good.

Overall, one of the better players on the defense, and right now they don't have anyone as good to take his place. Sheard maybe but then that leaves a hole where Sheard was. I think the defense will be ok without Jones, and they will be able to adequately fill his spot, but it's not easy losing a quality player.

On the whole, for several reasons (the main one being that I don't think they were going to re-sign him after 2016, so might as well get something for him now), I am good with the deal, but bottom line: I loved Chandler and am sad to see him go. Hope he has an incredible season in Arizona.

I'll never forget the night when we got both jones and Hightower. After years of kicking the extra first round draft pick down the road, belichick finally pulled the trigger and reshaped the defense for years to come.

I like how Jones thanked the fans with a tweet picture of him in the streamers after the super bowl. You can tell how much that meant to him.

I have to say "good luck" to CJ in AZ and thanks for the effort here in NE. He's earned his big pay and he has a ring. nothing to sneeze at.......... Thank You, Chandler

I wish him well. I thought he was a good player, not more than that. I don't know if it was his lack of strength but it seemed to me that he could not challenge average offensive linemen, never mind the better than average ones. He is a really nice person it seems and I think anyone who gets to the NFL is a special athlete so, may he have nothing but success in all his life endeavors.

Sad to see him go.
Good luck to him.
In BB I trust.

Glad he got a ring, really good player and seems like a great guy. Glad he is going to a good organization.

I wholly agree -- excellent player, smart, articulate and well liked by his teammates. I hope he's learned his lesson from his stupid mistake.
