Hey guys I hear this is the place to come and forget about 15 years running of top notch roster management and freak out that the Pats aren't playing a 3rd string WR 20394820 mill a year.
If you take the last zero off that # you're actually in the ball park.

7 million for Sanu?

One ESPN reporter says one thing and the other says something else. I think that's Sanu driving up his price to the Falcons.

Sanu has stated that he wants to be close to his family in NJ. While Atlanta is not exactly San Diego, Boston is a short flight to NJ. I think sanu has some value that we could use.

Howe just said that Sanu might still come to NE after all, but my god I hope it's not at $7m a year.

No source but my brother text me and said he heard sanu declined atls deal. Any report?

Cassel signed for the Titans

1year

Brandon Brooks, Kelvin Beachum, Danny Trevathan, and Jerrell Freeman are all still on the market.

Brooks is signing with Philly.
Beachum's knee may be toast.
Trevathan is supposedly signing somewhere.

And is Freeman really that good? Or are his tackle numbers that high because of the crappy D-line in front of him?

guy had 900+ yards in 2014 and his cap hit was only going to be around $3 million, i have to imagine it was more than that or you would at least bring him into training camp.
Yeah either it was some combination of Brady not trusting him, still hurt, bad attitude, or whatever OR the Pats massively underestimated what they could replace him with in FA (this seems unlikely to me, but possible). Or they still have another plan via some bomb-ass trade or something. On it's face with the WR prices so far it looks like a mistake to not at least bring Lafell - a veteran guy who has demonstrated a fairly quality level of play in your system locked in at $3m - into camp to see if he could get back to where he was just a little over a year ago.

I really don't get this free agency this year. Usually we see in the first day stupid money at top talent. This year, people are throwing stupid money at mediocre to bad talent.

Yeah, the Brooks signing occurred a few minutes after I posted this.

Analysts seem to like Freeman as an under-the-radar star.

Falcons sign Schaub 1 year

lol Denver QBs getting thinner

The big story will be if Fitzpatrick signs elsewhere cause he is clearly the best QB on the market.

As I trolled earlier.... Garoppolo to DEN for #32 - and we get to keep that pick. They're desperate enough right?

Either the Jets or Denver are going to end up paying Fitzpatrick more money per year than Osweiller.
